NT'ers talk to me about Sleep Paralysis

Anyone else suffer from it?

I've had plenty of episodes of it in the past to a point that I recognize it right away now and can shake myself out. But 2 nights ago I had the scariest experience of it yet. I woke up to what looked like a female demon hanging from my wall staring at me. **** made my heart race. I realized almost instantly I was in SP and and woke myself up and rolled over and went back to sleep.

Like I said I've been thru it before but never with such a terrifying presence. NTers educated on the subject, school me.

Just experienced this the other night.
Couldn't move my arms or legs like there was a huge weight on them.
Felt like it lasted forever.
Been too busy but will wiki it later.

I've had it but never saw something out of the ordinary. Trick is to move the smallest part of your body (pinky toe). Get that wiggling and it usually snaps me right out of it. Haven't one for a long while though.

Have em like once a week, so i'm pretty used to them by now. Used to get scared but realized I was just buggin and my mind loves to play tricks with me.

I usually keep my eyes closed so I won't see whatever horror my brain cooked up to scare me, but two weeks ago I opened them and there was this little girl holding my outstretched hand off the side of my bed. She had black hair hanging down the sides of her head but not obstructing her face. Her face though, looked like someone had drew it on paper with pencil, than erased it, so I couldn't make out any features like eyes or nose or even mouth.

Finally was able to will myself fully awake and went back to sleep lol

Basically you're conscious but your brain slipped up and forgot to unparalyze you.

Very large spiritual aspect to that's widely debated. Like homie saying he felt on his body.. Called an old hag and it's pretty odd how everyone sees the same thing when they get that feeling.

I've had it happen once in my lifetime.

Only has happened to me a couple of times. Usually early in the morning. I dont see anything out of the ordinary. Just cant move my body, i end up just looking around the room before i fall back to sleep.

isnt this refered to as "a demon sitting on your back" or somethin.

used to happen to me quite a bit as a kid. I HATE it.

you mind is awake but you just cant move your body. it also used to affect my breathin. i could breathe out but couldnt get air in. pretty much feels like yer gonna die.

sh*tiest feelin ever...

never had it. do you know why you guys have it?

Your brain paralyses you in your sleep so you don't act out your dreams. Ofc sometime this goes wrong in a number of ways such as dudes doing some wild stuff sleepwalking, or in OP's case waking up and the body forgetting to remove the paralysis.

Can be fixed by picking a body part and wiggling it and you should gradually gain more control of your body until your brain completely fixes everything.

Happened to me about 3-4 years ago when I was 4-6 years old. Just couldn't move my body. I didnt see any demons or anything like other people

I've experienced it so many times it doesn't even bother me anymore. By the time I actually wake up and get out of bed, I completely forget it ever happened.

At this point I'm more worried bout the bums who put their junk in your mouth while you're sleeping :nerd:

I can sorta make myself do it. Well not make, but make my chances of getting it higher.

But yeah, I recognize it and can shake myself out of it.

Ive heard loud growling to lasers whenever I got it.

You shouldn't fear sleep paralysis. Those terrifying illusions should be taken just as.... illusions. But the best tip is to keep your eyes close.

Right, like I was saying from the spiritual aspect of it they can only mess with you if you let it.

I've had it happen to me countless time, though its been a few years since its last happened. I've never seen anything when it was happening either.

Have you guys ever experienced temporary deafness with the sleep paralysis, and even just before you fall asleep?

I mean, I think I really am aware of the times between sleep/deep sleep/ unconsciousness its wild sometimes.

Yes. I've been practicing Astral Projecting for quite some time, and Sleep paralysis is usually the beginning stage.

Sleep paralysis isn't something to be afraid of. If you're an enlightened individual, it can actually be seen as quite a spiritual experience. Meditation also helps when conditioning yourself.

I get this now and then. :smh: Someday I'll try to get up and it feels like there's weight on me.

if this happens often, learn to control it op. i've learned how to wake up whenever i want, so when i get caught in an episode, i usually just chill here and see what happens
