The Timepiece Thread vol: READ THE 1st POST!!!

I was ******* around looking at some pieces and came across a brand called Squale.

Anyone familiar?

The make an "homage" Hulk Sub, which I've never seen before. Also have an homage of the white gold sub with the blue face+bezel. And a "root beer".

Micro brand with a cool history. I have the black 20 atmos and the price to quality ratio can't be beat. I won't own a real sub anytime soon, so this is a solid option. Probably the best sub homage @ 40mm you'll find IMO.

What other 40mm sub homages do you know of? I think 42mm might be too big for my 12 year old girl wrists.

Tag Heuer Professional 1500 Series

WD1223 = this ref # should be etched on the back case cover

Thanks for the quick response.

I couldn't find "WD1223" anywhere on the watch. I did find "925.213G-2" on the back case though.

Don't know who this dude is but supposedly very famous in Univision so others may have seen or heard of him.

I truthfully forgot-but I had an Omega PO that I traded for it, but I did still have to cough up a decent amount of cash...

here's a pic of my old PO..

Got an interview with a mortgaging firm tomorrow, one with a bank in a few weeks, hopefully ill be posting something new here in the next year.

I would never tell a man how to spend his money. But I will say prioritize. Now if that means a Rollie is at the top of that list, by all means Rumble young man Rumble.

^^it really depends on your age. I sometime wish I had spent more freely when I was younger, but at the same time it has put me in a very nice financial situation now that I have slowed my life down. Not going to tell anyone how to live, but I would recomed staying away from buying things you can't afford to pay for with cash

there are some serious ballers on NT.  I didnt know it was like that around here.  i thought my lady and I was doing well, but i think she'd divorce me if I dropped 5-10k on a watch.   The fallout would be apocalyptic.   lolol

id be afraid to wear a 35k watch.  Id have to wrap it in bubble wrap on my wrist to feel somewhat calm.

I don't really wear watches but I figured I'd get one for an everyday-kind of use thing. The Seiko SNDA65 caught my eye, any word on how it is or if there's anything comparable? I just wanted a simple watch that had a gunmetal/black dial with nylon band.

For the price you can get that Seiko for (~$150) you'd be hard-pressed to find an alternative. There's probably a Citizen equivalent if you want to check their line-up, might cost more than the Seiko though.

The only one I could think of the top of my head is maybe the Timex Expedition T49905? I believe it's around $50. You can always buy cheap nateo/nylon straps so don't even worry about that.
