Nick Cannon goes White Face for an album...thoughts?

I personally couldn't care less; I am more annoyed Nick Cannon is allowed to put out an album but I would like to see NT's thoughts on this...





The African-American comedian and host of “America’s Got Talent,” 33, recorded an album in another persona. When his latest collection of songs — his first in 11 years — is released April 1, he’ll join the ranks of past alter-ego equipped stars including David Bowie (Ziggy Stardust) and Garth Brooks (Chris Gaines). Eyebrows, however, have been raised by Cannon’s choice of a white alter ego, one “Connor Smallnut”; a persona which requires Cannon to cover himself in whiteface make-up to slide into.

Considering that there isn't some shortage of White roles or a shortage in the variety of roles white actors get then I have absolutely no problems with this. I mean hell we have a movie coming out called kings of Egypt with an all white cast :rolleyes

This is not ok Nick.

They are getting the pulpit ready for his press conference style apology and official resignation from broadcast television.

cast looks pretty diverse to me; not sure what the problem is here
 
This was a very bad career move.

Although he hasn't been a fav artist of mine - I respected how he worked for his positions in the entertainment industry. Like O I didn't know Nick Cannon worked for this show. Didn't do that bad of a job.



....Why the hell would he do this?

not sure what this dude is getting at

and Tom Cruise didn't play an Asian :lol:

I never in life thought I'd utter these words but, I expected more from Nick Cannon. Tasteless, imo. Leave stuff like this to Dave Chapelle, who makes songs about diarrhea.
 
I don't know how people are getting upset at White-face now. What about Chappelle when he put on White-face as the new reporter. What about White Chicks? A whole 2 hour movie with the Wayans Bro's dressed and acted like white chicks?

I guess Twitter and social media didn't exist then for all these soft *** people to voice their dumb *** opinions.
