** The Diadora Thread ** - Concepts "Rat Pack" N9000

My n9k GR's arrived today and they're... good, not great.  Nothing I'd call premium, other than the fancy Italian brand name.  Craftsmanship is so-so, with plenty of stray threads and glue stains.  They really should be priced at or under $100 IMO.  If you can get them on sale around that much go for it, but definitely don't pay box price or (God forbid) resale mark up.  Buy them to wear as everyday sneakers, as there is nothing collectible about them, IMHO.

Haha. I don't even have mine in hand yet and I felt that way about the price. IMO, once you cross that $100 threshold, a fair amount of people are gonna pass, including myself. Had MLTD not had that 30% off, I wouldn't have purchased them either. Think it would serve them well to be in the $75-$95 price bracket till the brand catches some steam... at least here in the States. Kinda like ASICS has done. Last time I owned a pair of Diadoras was in 8th grade and it was only one pair. Most people outside of the Soccer/Tennis world probably never even heard of Diadora lol

Ha, and I'm honestly not even that picky!  Maybe I'm just being hard on Diadora because of how high most people place them on a pedestal as far as quality and craftsmanship, so my expectations are not being met.  As you know, I was so underwhelmed with the quality of my Italias (probably because of how much I paid to get them) that I ended up selling them.  Maybe you need to be more honest regarding your Diadora experiences...
