** The Diadora Thread ** - Concepts "Rat Pack" N9000

I have a feeling that these will be at the minimum $220. I'm pretty sure that WU licensing ain't cheap.

I can tell from photos the suede on the Rae9000s are a better quality than GR Diadora suede. The Rae9000s suede is more plush and has a better nap.
The collab suede is pretty average too, at least on the last 2 packer collabs.

That's my 1 beef with diadora. I like the silhouettes and the branding better than NB, and their colorways are very clean for the most part, really bold colors. NB always seems to have better suede.

I agree

Man, for me growing up there was Diadora along w/ Lotto, Avia & Ellesse. There was them four brands and Nike was dropping heat w/ the Jordans of course, but there were flight 89's and the solo flights along w/ the Bo Jackson kicks. 80-90's had my my pockets hurtin.'

30+ :nerd:

most of these rappers prolly never knew what a Diadora was before RK got his collab.

still an interesting shoe nonetheless.

Speak for yourself, anybody who is 30+ grew up on more than Nike and JB

Yeah I think sneakers were overall just sneakers until the Jordan 3 came along and that was the beginning of a shift towards a Nike-rules-all kind of mentality when it came to kicks.

Up until the Jordan 3, Nikes were still kind of a status symbol but you were also crushing it if you had Diadoras, Lottos, Ellese, Avias, Adidas, Pumas, Filas, etc as long as the sneakers looked good and your whole fit was pretty solid.

It was kind of early-mid 90s that basketball sneakers kind of took over so of course the most popular were Jordan's followed by non-Jordan Nikes with a few Reeboks, Adidas, and Grant Hill Filas in the mix, but runners and simple tennis kicks took a little bit of a back seat popularity wise with the exception of a few specific demographics.

I'd still like to see the Diadora tennis joints get released properly and maybe a few sick collabs. They're runners look good, but those weren't the Diadoras people were racking up back then.

@Magic1978 & @PanaRicanRetro yup, ya'll know whussup! I'm on the end closing end of the 30+ club.

I swear 86-90's were the best sneaker years to me man.

Diadora had a white and red high top recently that was killer quality- kinda had a basketball texture to em.  Almost bought them, but I have too many highs as it is (I collect Jordan 1s and Adidas Forums and Conductors).  They were ill in person though
