** The Diadora Thread ** - Concepts "Rat Pack" N9000

The quality of the Diadora collabs is better than Asics GR, I'd say.

On a side note, I was at LimitEditions in BCN today and witnessed a guy taking a picture of a Diadora shoe box with their branding added. I reckon that means they will do a collab in the near future.

Tridents are GRs. I have a pair. Very nice shoes but they aren't worth $260-$270 that I see Concepts and Packer are charging for them. Furthermore, there are European websites selling Tridents for various cheaper prices than those prices in the USA. A lot of Tridents will sit on shelves.
 
I don't think anyone can judge the quality of the packers until they officially released...if you look closely at the pics in the lookbook the suede looks pretty damn good actually. I love leather and perforated toe boxes as much as the next person, but I have a feeling these will be quality all around regardless.

I didnt say all GR asics are better than diadora collabs... I do think tho that all these diadora collabs have high prices. Most of them have a lot more mesh and other synthetic materials than a cheaper pair of asics or NB. Especially the collabs.

I don't think that's going to happen. The leaked photo earlier this year looked like the colors were greenish and grey. Could've been a sample though
 
Finally got to see Azzurris in person and they are so underrated. Shape is great, colorway is clean, quality is decent, craftsmanship is spot on. Very happy with them.

I really hope it does, but I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up. I think someone on here said earlier that concepts will have two collabs just like packer so I am keeping my fingers crossed. BTW any chance you can upload that leaked photo dude? I remember hearing about it from a kid at a campout, but never actually found it myself... 
 
correct me if im wrong.. but arent all the top dollar Diadoras made in Italy? And people here are comparing price to shoes made in Taiwan and such? Or am I completely wrong here?

Thats what i was aking about. I wondered why such the steep prices for materials similar to other brands but that answers my question if they are indeed made in italy. Same price range as made in USA newbalances...

Exactly. You're paying for the labor. You want quality craftsmanship, you gotta pay for it. Sure they're making more profit on these, but that gives them incentive to continue production in Italy, USA, England, ect.

Tridents are 'top dollar' to me, but apparetly they're in a white box made in Bangladesh (according the guy who answered the phone at CNCPTS). I guess it's safe to assume the collabs are mad in Italy, the "el cheapos" are made in Japan, and the decent ones and non collabs are in Bangladesh?

Not all Tridents are made in Bangladesh. The Tridents that are canvas and suede are made in Bangladesh. The Tridents that are leather, suede and nylon are made in Italy.
