For being "italian made" their suede isn't always that great. thanks for this info, makes me want to pass on these new packers.

Except the Made in England and USAs kill the Diadora GRs on quality. Those "Flying the Flag" were better than a lot of their collabs. The n9000s I've been seeing (grs) have been on par with the non USA pairs quality wise. Stitching and all that is on point but the suede is average or slightly above.

Man, that packer collabo is nice and would be my first ever Diadora, but that $200 scares me right now

Don't do it. There will be better ones. These are just starting (concepts will do this too, maybe Kith.) I want to see what foot patrol would do to one of these.

As someone who had Diadora back in the late 80's and got them again during different retro periods, it's sort of crazy they're doing mostly runners and charging that much. Sort of like Brooks. Diadora's tennis and soccer kicks were the popular ones.
I still have a few pairs Diadora Maverick's that I got for less than $50 a long time ago.

yeah i’m passing on the packers too that color way is ehhh i like the azzuri but quality is not like the pattas i wish i could keep these “9”s but there just too big and the gr are not Italian made nor are the Packers

Mm. That explains it. Packer collabs are so all over the place. For every "Dirty Buck" there's a bunch of crap. You know you're always getting great materials with Kith, but a lot of times you might be getting something that's too far out there not to make you look try hard or f boi.
Concepts and Foot Patrol are like the only shops that I like almost every release. Extra Butter for weird stuff. Everyone else is kinda schizo. I was so tired of packer that I didn't even go for Dirty Bucks and now I regret it.

I'm saying that regardless of taste, there will probably be more opportunities to get higher quality materials for a similar price. But, if it's just about the color way and the silo, yes the packers are a good call. Particularly if you like the Mets, Islanders, Knicks, Broncos, Syracuse, or Boise State.
He likes PHOTOS of the kicks. Not the kicks themselves. But judging on the Azzurri...they might not be all that.
So I'm helping someone out based on what I know of Diadora's that I've seen in person.

Afaik Kith has been more or less confirmed. Since LimitEditions will most likely do one, based on what I saw, I reckon eventually FP will get their collab as well. Maybe also one or too of the Italian Diadora accounts.
Regarding the quality: The craftmanship is among the best any other sneaker company releases, on par with US/UK made NB and MIG Adidas or Adidas Consortium. It's better than most Nike Tier Zero releases I've seen. The infamous toe dent issue is something only sneaker nerds like us notice and I think it has something to do with having too much room in the toebox.
The materials are also very good. The kangaroo leather on my Saturday Specials and Ferros ist one of the best materials I've ever seen on a sneaker. The suede is good but not outstanding. I have a couple of NB, Adidas and Asics with better suede, but of course those are all in a similar price range.
So I don't really get the complaining about quality. If you think the quality doesn't justify the price then go and buy something else. Right now there are so many great releases most of us won't be able to get them all. I myself probably won't get another Diadora collab for a while but that's mostly because of them always using the N9000 silhouette.

Yeah, there's been a few 9000's that i liked, but i just really like this colorway on them..... i doubt i drop that $200 tho

I don't think I was telling anyone to do anything, really. My point (that I obviously didn't make well enough since you interpreted my post differently) was that everyone should buy whatever they want. I just questioned why anyone would buy something he/she thinks is not worth its price instead of buying something else. Apart from that I was just giving my personal opinion on shoes which is sort of the purpose of this forum. Some people in here probably like Diadoras more than I do and some probably like them less.
From your response, I do get that youre taking offence. I don't really get why but I'll try my best to avoid that in the future.
