they had offered him a $7.5mill a year contract that he turned down cause he wanted "Harden lvl money"
he was rocking Nike's on court while adidas was still releasing his signature shoe in stores!
he thought he could get more money! he couldn't!! sneaker free agency didn't work out for him.. so now he comes back begging!
he doesn't deserve a signature shoe again.. keep this ungrateful ***** in some crazy explosives.

A problem I see is that a Wall sig would compete with the same market the Dames target.

Yeah if he got one again, I wonder if they’d price it above the Dames. If he was supposedly getting the Crazy Explosive as his next sig (before he left), then I guess they thought they could charge a higher price. I always thought it was unfortunate (or a bad decision on his part) that he left after his signatures didn’t sell well, but if he would have stayed, his next sig would have been really popular (based on how much people liked the crazy explosive).

It looks like they're trying to position the Crazy Explosive as their Hyperdunk.
Though if they are phasing out Rose's line I wonder if they would assign it to Wall.

The man tested the market and his value, no harm in that. Why short change yourself?
Obviously the money was still there on the table waiting for him. Most likely got more than 7.5mil this time around as well, being a more popular and better player now.
And most likely will have better shoes this time around at that.

^ I'm with that. See what's out there and see what you can get. Many, if not all players in the league do that in terms of contracts and shoe deals.

Exactly, players test the free agent market all the time to see what is available to them, then end up signing back with their original contractor.
Heck, happens with us normal civilians as well. Plenty people leave a job, then later return.

I honestly still wish I had the couple pairs I had of his sigs. I want that burgundy 2 again. Might have to look them up lol. It's great to see him out there looking like himself. Still a baller.
