The Purge: Anarchy In Theaters July 18th, 2014 vol. Is Definitely better than the first movie!!!!

So I guess I shouldn't ask if I should watch the first one. I'll watch this one, hope there is no need to watch the first to understand this one.

What if the purge were real? :pimp:
 
actually glad they're making this. first one had so much potential it's hard to believe how bad it turned out, hopefully they do it right this time.
 
The hate for the first one is heavy... This **** will have to be GREAT for people to let that one go...

I can actually see this one not doing so great just because people are weary of the series now.

Cant just people go out of town/country before the purge?

How would you avoid confontation? ...People will be plotting for their revenges to someone they hate till the purge..etc..

Would be my solution, however if you do stay you run into situations where someone who you didn't know had it out for you does like say a neighbor or family member. And again, only the affluent would be able to do so which gets back to the central theme of it, which they do so much more with this time around (Michael C. Williams' character especially elevates it), which is it's a way to eliminate the undesirables of society aka the poor, sick, old, etc. I could go more into it but it'd be a spoiler I guess

And to the dude who asked, no you don't have to have seen the first to get this one. Although it's at Redbox for a dollar so I don't see why not if you have 2 hrs to spare.

It's not scary at all, other than the masks the gangsters wear is the only part with nightmare potential imo.

Not gonna spoil anything. I just really liked it. Enjoy fellas. Well discuss through the weekend once more people have seen it
 
Caught a screening last week and I just wanna say it's what the first one shouldve been.

I could see this being stretched for another movie or 2 but the concept must change some.

All crime is legal for 12hrs, try to make the come up for Pete's sake.

Yes since you can get it from RedBox for a dollar. It's not necessary though since it has no bearing on the sequel
 
2nd one was really good. I like how they expanded the movies scope. Although at times I felt like I was watching The Punisher.

Also, that ****** daughter. God I hated her so much. I've never disliked a movie protagonist in my life more than I disliked her. I was literally in pain every time she had camera time. Geezus.

If Frank Grillo wasn't already apart of the MCMU(Crossbones in Cap 2) he would be great as Punisher.
