Mother arrested after leaving 2 children in vehicle while she went for job interview

Very sad.

It was a poor choice.

With all the sick people in life its scary to just leave your kids with just anyone and with no family or friends its like what do you do?

She is older and had her children at a responsible age but could've been just on hard times... maybe shes divorced? just relocated... you never know. I hope things work out for her and her kids. horrible mugshot.

me and my siblings got left in the car plenty of times for grocery store runs etc...job interview not so much though.

Nah. Saw her mug shot and got the feels. Its rough out here man. She was just trying to maintain. Sad situation

I know she prolly didn't mean any harm by it but damn..... She could of just paid somebody trustworthy to just sit in the car with the kids. But a 6 month old. Nah you can't leave a 6 month old in the car for 45+ minutes. Lil shorty could of choked on its vomit and die. And what a 2 yr old gone do?

Its just a sad situation. Now her kids got get taken, but I hope she can get herself together in the mean time and get her youngins back.

My son is almost 5, very tech smart/savvy, and I'm 6'3 and he's almost to my chest and I couldn't see leaving him in the car at all. He'd probably start it up and go to Chuck E Cheeses.lol

Understand why she did it. Still can't let it slide.

If you have an interview, rarely are those things last minute.

She had at minimum I would say, like three days to come up with something.

I'd almost prefer to leave them at home or with a neighbor. She don't have friends?

And about the leave them at home thing.  If you leave out cooked food on the counter, or snacks the kids usually watch tv all day and eat.

Not the safest method but at least less likely to be in a bad situation.

Not gonna lie stories like this have me conflicted. I guess legally it's wrong but my mom left us in the car before, and definitely left us in the crib when she had to work and gmom couldn't watch us :rolleyes.

Nah. Ive had job interviews where they've called me and told me come in that same day.

Who is getting these women pregnant?

back on topic:

If she left the kids in the car for an interview than who is going to watch the kids before her first check?

There should be no reason to leave small children in a car
Im pretty sure like most people she got a call for an interview out of nowhere and had to go. She prolly thought that if she got the job, by the time her first day started she could find a babysitter.

Not taking up for her because she was wrong but **** happens.. This situation is bad all around because they'll take her kids from her, she'll have this on her record so she won't be able to find a job and all because she was trying to provide for her kids.

But she had a 6 month old in a car in AZ. I wonder why she didn't take her kids inside with her? I'm sure most employers understand that people have kids.

I understand what you're saying but I don't see it like that. We are logical thinkers which is why you were able to try and think in her shoes. This women is not a logical thinker as she left the kids in the car for an interview whcih can last up to an hour. The same goes for the chick that left her kid in the car to go to a lil' wayne concert. Who is getting these women pregnant?

I don't think allowing the children to enter the building with her is COMPLETELY out of the question, either.

This makes me want to cry. To the person asking how she would be able to find someone to watch them if she got the job when she can't even find someone to watch now........doesn't childcare cost money? I'm guessing the HOMELESS woman didn't have the funds to really pay for someone to look after them at that very moment, or the interview was last minute. But I do suppose that with some income she may be closer to affording that.

As if someone can't have kids and only after do they experience a downturn and hardships (not saying that's the case here, for I have no idea). The reasoning and logic sometimes....

Nobody is denying that it was illogical. But when your struggling as she was that may have seemed the most logical thing for the time being. People make terrible decisions when there backs are against the wall. My dad sold drugs when he got laid off from his job from at cessna. He put us in harm way by doing that. But luckily his job called him back a year later and everything was fine.  Have u seen the pursuit happiness with will smith. Dude was sleeping with his son in a subway bathroom at one point not because it was logical but because that was the only option. Was he bad person for doing that? No he was struggling as this woman was.

What if she got the job , got some public assistance and got an apartment. Well we'll never know because she'll never get a decent job with this on her record, she's going to jail but most of all her kids may be forced to be raised by the system.

On another note you can't compare this to the woman who left her kids in the car for a lil wayne concert at all.

I don't think you'll ever understand until you've had to struggle. Like really struggle.

I feel you bro. Its a WHOLE other struggle when you have kids/Dependants involved. My sister has 3. 7,5 and 1 and recently divorced from a military husband and I see her struggle to adjust with help with the kids.

I know I don't like kids so my 1 son is more than enough.lol I'll wait on the grands 1 day when I'm a Lil more relaxed.

Bring the kids in with you? I mean leaving kids in a car is never a good idea. I wouldn't leave my dog in a caret alone my kids.
