What up NikeTalk Massive -- doing a study and wanted to ask for your honest thoughts and opinions on a bunch of sneaker brands that are in the conversation today.

The first up is Supra.

What are your thoughts on the brand? Are they still relevant to you as a buyer? What would you like to see them do that they aren't doing today?

Greatly appreciate as much feedback as you are all willing to share.

Thx!

Coming from strictly a retail standpoint, Supra seems to have lost that freshness. A few years ago the shop I worked at couldn't keep them in stock as everyone from skaters intending to actually use them for boarding to just kids who like the high tops were buying. Silhouettes like the skytop, cutler and even the tk society were doing well for a while then Supra just seemed to lack innovation. THEN the skytop 3 hit, and I think it was all over from there. The lil wayne colors on old models moved the needle a little bit for a while (at least getting them press), and the continual reprisal of the older models has done them well, but they have been stagnant with everything else. The newer models have been out there, but not widely accepted. Maybe its just because their early adopter Justin Beiber both switched over to adidas and grew out of his old demographic, but I refuse to believe he had much to do with it. The small hightop lifestyle boom that happened in general has died down somewhat, taking brands like creative recreation, arthur ateliers, keep, vlado, and a few others with it. it seems as if the masses have moved back to nike, jordan and the even adidas. Retro product is the king again. Like I said, I only saw this trend come and go from behind the counter since i mostly only wear basketball related footwear, but thats what it looked like to me. Hope it helps.
