Undoubtedly a classic. Volume 2 is one of his most under rated albums, that plus the fact that it was a huge commercial success play into it.

I liked it better than blueprint. Actually Vol 2 was probably the last album I bought from Jay.

Listening to it right now.

Ride or Die :pimp: It never gets mentioned but that's a top 5 song on there

This album is meaningful to me being that it's the first Jay Z album I ever had. I remember when I first got it and why I got it, Money Cash **** was my favourite track. I played that cassette into the ground being that this and DMX album were all that I had. I love this album.

I think vol 2 is better than TBA. I actually don't think TBA is a classic.

The blue print is his best, then RD, then vol 2
I never really liked the black album

What singles and producers were on TBA?

Reservoir Dogs has to be one of my favorite tracks ever but with that being said vol. 2 had a lot of great songs but classic? Nah. Great album. Top 5 jay album but not a classic. The title classic gets thrown around too loosely.

I think it can be considered a commercial classic if that makes sense. It's probably one of the best commercial rap albums you'll hear outside of GRODT.

I mean

Can I Get A
Reservoir Dogs
Money Ain't A Thang
Coming of Age (Da Sequel) :pimp: :pimp: (probably still a top 5 Jay song for me)
***** What ***** Who?
If I Should Die

A bunch of really good songs and good singles. Can't really go wrong

Nope

I can go back and listen to RD, BP, TBA, AG...I can listen to about 2 tracks on Vol. 2

Agreed. Good album but has very minimal replay value for me. I can't even remember the last time I tried to play this album all the way through. Its an album that I thought was amazing when I was younger and it first came out but it has not aged well.

Album is solid but not a classic. I never throw it on front to back.

It's Like That >

I can't call it. Vol. 2 was the album that made me a fan of Hov. I remember not really being a Jay fan, until listening to vol. 2 in it's entirety.

Everything from the Intro, to the really big commercial joints...This is a personal classic in my eyes.

Some of the beats on there sound mad dated now.

Solid in my book, but by no means a classic.

Agreed with this. I don't usually say this because I listen to tons of older rap but some of the beats just remind me of shiny suit era bs.

Was coming in here to say just this.  It was a classic in its time, but I couldn't jam it now like I did then.

Like the majority of responses on here, album is whatever. It's the worst out of the Vol. trilogy. Can listen to only a couple songs. 5/10 album.
