$69k for a 2015 Tahoe LTZ... Smh!

Yea I love those new Impalas too. Heard the LTZ has more horsepower than the previous generation's SS while being better on gas...
yeah it is. Mine is fully loaded except nav and adaptive cruise control. It's beautiful and drives like a beast. $50 to fill up from E 425 miles on the tank.

Word, Although I really hope that GM doesn't continue the LT4 anytime soon.
The LT4 isn't out yet...it's designated for the next gen Z06 (along w/CTS-V) it's basically the lT1 (found in the stingray)...but supercharged. In short...the next CTS-V will humiliate the German. GM isn't playin when it comes to performance ex: camaro Z28 beating the latest GTR track edition

I'd put my 2014 Impala LTZ2 up against any sedan similarly priced, or even priced a lil higher. Car is a damn beast
Regret switching to dodge. That new body impala is :smokin... Had an 05 impala that I purchased back in 06. Lasted 6 yrs and 219k until major fix...and that was out here in the desert heat.
That new SS is growing on me. Kind of like the 04 GTO...

That's my main problem with the need Impala SS, it puts up neary the same numbers that the older G8 and GTO. This is s horrible move by Chevy, but there are enough consumers out there that just want "the new SS" to sell lots of cars before people realize this.

lol

talking to the wrong person bruh. i have a car. you own a M5 we get it, dont know why you defending BMW so hard like your grandfather founded it or something or gave you the whip for free.

but anyways, has the 2015 CTS-V been mentioned or even confirmed? all i know or even heard about is the V series which is the twin turbo pushing 420 horses.

The 420 hp CTS is the Vsport (same as M sport to bmw) the step below the upcoming V series. It uses the TT V6 instead of a V8...and put up STUPID #'s already. Imagine 200 hp more...with even more weight savings. (cant underestimate how much lighter the new caddys are vs their german counterparts). The CTS V comes after the ATS V (which will have the same TTV6 of the aforementioned CTS Vsport...but boosted to @ 500 hp). The upcoming CTS V will be puttin up Panemera #'s. End of discussion.

source?

i havent really looked but we discussed this in the car thread about a month or two back. no one said or seen anything unless this came up recently. But too bad its gonna cost A LOT :x the V-series is already 60K+ :smh:

Da CTS V is a beast
But the masses are gravitating towards 'high end' badges (Benz, BMW, Audi, etc..)

I think that's what 10pc is trying to say.

If you're a car nut, you're gonna know off top that da V is an awesome machine.

The average person is gonna choose a foreign over a caddy.
This is true, lets be honest the average person getting a luxury car would rather get a Benz, audi or bimmer regardless of performance.

You think they're at the dealership asking the salesman which one corners better or who had a better time at the ring

I frequent various auto forums (gminsidenews for one) it has been confirmed a while ago the next gen CTS V is slated to receive the LT4 engine from the new Z06. Actual HP hasnt been confirmed (Z06 hasn't either...but its confirmed OVER 625hp/635tq) but general consensus is the V is slated to have over 600 hp from factory. Test mules are out now, so the actual car should debut next year as a 16' MY car....it will prolly hover around the current M5 price...and will be worth every penny.

Land Rovers are better...
LOL

G-Wagon>>>>>any SUV/Truck period.

it will last you 25 years too

some guy down the street just got one, while it ok looking i wouldnt spend a dime over 50k on it. nothing on it IMO is worth the base price let a lone the full loaded :x

Most Americans cars depreciate quicker than other brands. If you wait a year or two you can get it cheaper used with low miles

You're right. The LT1 is in the current Vette.

What I meant was, I hope Chevrolet doesn't continue on with the LT. I'm a firm believer in the LS engines and think that an LS7 with a supercharger would be ideal.

Which I actually think is a good thing.

But if we're talking about value, please show me a car that doesn't depreciate the minute you drive it off the lot.

Every car depreciates. Some more than others. Look at listings for a 5 year old Camry and Malibu. The Malibu will be a lot cheaper

nope

Nothing depreciates faster than a german luxury car.

Most V8 American vehicles hold their value well.

Nothing compares to Japanese though.

the new LTs are just slightly modified LSs, theyre not the LT engines that were in the c4s if thats what youre thinking

GM is way to lazy to actually build a brand spankin new v8, especially since the LSx line was solid af

and i dont think the ls7 was made to be compatible with any form of forced induction, which is why the ls9 was engineered and other lsx engines

S-class and 7-series depreciate like no other. That is a given and why they're usually leased and not bought.

I can find V8 crown Victoria's, town cars and impalas for dirt cheap on Craigslist all day long. Same for v8 Cadillacs like the deville

Luxury cars in general depreciate like hell. Devilles and Towncars are luxury cars with substantial depreciation considering they had MSRPs in the 50k range. The Crown Vic on the other hand is not a luxury car and it has held its value pretty well considering it had an MSRP of 25k and still goes for 13-19k resale for updated models with good mileage. The Vics you see going for peanuts are used in service fleet vehicles and ones with very high mileage.

A new 328i starts at 40K, three years later its worth 22K

Roughly the same for an entry level C class.

A new V8 Camaro, Challenger, Charger, or Mustang all start around 30-31K

Three years later every model is worth more than either the 328 or the c300.

I pulled these numbers from KBB.com and used the base models with the same miles for all.

I've got into this argument more than I can count so I don't want to do it now, I'm just pointing this out.
