$6000-$8000 is alot more then what I had at his age. Still he is a solid case of what I will not pay more then $20 above retail for shoes and thats only if I really want then pair

Boom...I've never and will never pay over retail.

Yall mad at a 15 year old kid that's obviously doing something positive with himself businessman because he's beating you at your game?

Okay.

No need to take shots at a 15 year old, good for him for finding a lane at his age and exploiting it to some extent to make money.  I'm not buying them so go for it.  That being said, I mentioned it early but $8k is fine for his age (if it's his focus and he's putting aside friends and activity that's not good tho) but based on $60k in sales?  I don't care what your system is but if you're getting your mom & grandma involved and moving 250 pairs to only make $8k, that seems like it's not particularly efficient.

Either way it's better than just expecting everything to be given to him and not doing anything.

maybe he reported 8k so he doesn't get taxed too much. He just made 3k selling one shoe(yeezys), doubt he only makes 8 in total over the course of a year

lol the amount of hatred in this thread is astonishing. Im guessing a lot of yall missed out on your last sneaker release.

at least he's keeping his books at a young age.

he'll soon realize massive amounts of gr retros > 3 pairs of "somewhat limited" pairs + "looking out" fees and blow past 30% return with 12 hours of work a month.
also, reselling taught me how dumb it was to wear these overpriced kicks.
value goes way down, then you have to have convos with ISSers about how you're not going to sell aqua 8s worn 5x for $70.
AF1 prices went down, I started copping some classics that are better made.
you can wear af1s until they crease, stuff them a bit... then just use them as beaters and throw them out, no stress.

the only thing cool in this pic is the royals, the rest are trash including him :smh:

I'm dying over here.

This reminds me of my younger days when me and the homie started our mobile car wash business and thought we were doing it. Only to realize we're making crumbs

Figured out a long time ago that reselling shoes is only a good hustle if you

A. can get them for significantly lower than retail

B. consistently come up on some super hyped kicks (Yeezy, South Beach, etc. level kicks . . . these type of kicks don't even come out often so this isn't even really possible)

If you are copping at retail then selling shoes is pointless.

Dudes standing in line in the cold all night for 30-50 bucks profit, and even less than that after gas, shipping fees, and eBay/PayPal fees.

It's a good little hustle if you live in a rural area that isn't in to shoes like that and can casually stock up on a random Sunday afternoon or something, but to put so much effort and time into it for less than 30-50 bucks profit.

Doing it wrong. You'd be better off getting a real job and making that money in a few hours.

no.... you're thinking about the wrong shoes... at the wrong places.

people think resellers and think... hype shoes at the hyped places.
yes, there are dumb kids that do that... they should be ridiculed, but there are so many alternatives.

you can goto a place that has a small line or no line
you can buy shoes that are classic nike basketball retros that no one wants now or are less popular and sit on them
you can get information and hookups from management
you can have them hold stuff until sales come around
you can have a fulltime job and resell sat. releases

the posters that are making fun are the same ones with no vision

there are days I saw a line, didn't see the employees I knew and went back home... no sweat.
there are days when they texted me and said meet them in the back with cash and my trunk open

First off let me state that I know your history with shoes (irrelevant yet relevant in this topic) I know you've been on here for a min but dawg...

At the end of the day how much can you stretch out of a general release shoe? 100 tops? I can think of 100 other things I can spend 100 dollars on and double my money with. Without waiting in line over night while keeping my pride in tact

The job + reselling Saturday releases would be a good thing of side change (even then, you got to make consistent trips to the post office to get people their **** on time and that may interfere with your work schedule + who's to say they won't call you in on a Saturday morning?) but other than that, nothing you said really changes the fact that you are consistently going significantly out of your way (getting up mad early every release date, gas to and from the mall, gas to and from the post office, shipping fees, etc.) for 30-50 bucks profit.

He'd be better off getting a real job (and maybe copping to resell on Saturdays he doesn't work).

The only way reselling sneakers is a good hustle is if you can get them under retail.

But I will say he's good at managing money if he always has enough to re-up. Also pretty admirable or whatever that he handles all these shoes and still sticks with beaters, doesn't waste money on buying sneakers for himself.

He will be successful but his current hustle is too much effort and time for 30-50 bucks profit.
