15 year old reseller

p.s. i think the $8000 in profit is wrong. dude has to pay for website upkeep (unless he makes he mama and grandmama eat those charges) and he provides free shipping on all the shoes he sells, etc.
yep, and if he had 60,000 in revenue then he had to have spent at least 20,000 to buy the kicks. Wonder where that money came from...

This is nothing new.

Little kids thing these days wear them once or twice and then they re-sell.

They flip the shoes and buy more, wear them once or twice and repeat.

They give the illusion that they have 1000 pairs of shoes.

The $#it part about it is when these boogers lie and say they are DS.

There's a fantastic judge judy about this.

It was priceless.

Some of my favorite quotes of all time come from watching these two entitled little $#its argue with eachother:

I only wore them inside on carpet for a little while.

There are picture of me not wearing them.

My mom says I'm a good business man.

I use hard plastic shoe trees, he uses cardboard.

This kid is over here bragging like he can't get touched
Never let the public know where you keep your stash at. :smh:
Kids these days man smh

you said $100 a pair
I'm saying you can get multiple gr pairs easily, a storage only costs $100 a month

if you can't see the money... sorry, maybe money isn't for you.

Explaining to people that don't get it. I'll give an example. Got a heads up on pair being available. Cleaned out 3 locations, 60 pairs at 80 per pair flipped at 300 with fees/shpping ranging from 18-20% = roughly 9600 profit for 3 days work. Most people are either impatient, don't know what to buy or just stupid. People with regular jobs don't have the time to camp but a little research and few phone calls you can make an extra few thousand on the side if you know what you are doing. I try to buy stuff with at least 40% return but have made 100-200% on a lot.

14% return isn't bad but he is putting way to much time into making that. Shouldn't have to give up your social life. He'll learn as time goes. I don't think people realize he didn't spend 60K at one shot to get back 8k. He probably started with a 1k-2k I'm guessing and built off that. Which is why it took time but his returns will get bigger as he can invest more and invest in the right items. Praising the kid saying he'll be a CEO one day is kinda funny. You don't have to be genius to be able to flip stuff.

Its funny how y all think he would state the real amount he makes...

Guy said he sold yeezys and made 2.5 on them , how could he sell all others for 5000 , 237 shoes...?

He would never state the real amount he makes , so as not to be a target , IRS or thug one...

 @ being mad @ a 15 year old kid for making some money.

I would love to know what you guys were doing at his age.

what's problematic (and it should be apparent and near and dear to most ppl on a sneaker forum), is that people like him, who don't actually care about the sneakers anymore, directly drive up the price for those that do.

Boo ******* hoo.

So according to y'all a 15 year old should be learning stock market algorithms and not buy shoes............ K

LOL

We really gone hate on son tho? How much did Tyrone make selling bootleg CDs and DVDs? Or how much did he make selling candy? Son is only 15 that 8k seems like plenty. I used to sell nextels in high school and only got free phones and maybe in a year 3k, couldn't tell me ****

LOL

Seriously,

Dude is 15 and a bunch of 20 something year old's who beat their meats relentlessly to pics of Draya and Kanye are throwing shade in his direction.

How could I leave you, NT?

How could I?

I'm perfectly ok with him re-selling sneakers, I only hope that he's saving part of the money for his future. I remember when I was his age (10 years ago) I used to buy one to wear and buy one to flip, I would use the proceeds of the flip to put into my savings account and help pay for college.

Also, not sure where you guys are seeing a 14% IRR; that would be assuming that he's buying all of his sneakers day one and takes an entire year to sell the shoes. The IRR on re-selling sneakers, especially on a risk-adjusted basis, is very attractive. If you bought a pair of shoes @ $100 and sold them the next week for $135; you would realize a ridiculously high IRR. Add to the fact that you have the put option to return the shoes to the store (in most cases), it creates a very attractive situation.

Not at all saying that I'm condoning re-selling but in any market with willing buyers and sellers, it's going to happen

where did he get the 60k to cop shoes?

its his mommas money

And that's how the cookie crumbles fellas

Least some people still have common sense

Dudes talking like this is some mastermind phenom of the business world at the age of 15  he's nothing more than a 15 year old with a mom AND grandma who for some reason support his habit.

The question ya should be asking is, HOW MANY OF US HAD PARENTS LIKE THESE?

i said it earlier in the thread but people skipped over it

if dude had started with 1k and did this then most if not all of us should/would be impressed.

he used mommy and probably grandmas money to do this no doubut about it. congrats on him making a "business" out of it, im sure he will make more money as he gets older and smarter and finds ways to maximize profit.

Curious, where does it say that he spent $60K to buy shoes?

From the way that I interpreted it, he had $60k in sales. If I started with $1,000, flipped into $1,350 and re-invested that money for more inventory at the same 35% margin, I could have $60K in sales with only having $1,000 in personally invested capital; everything else would come from sales proceeds and constantly recycling the capital to purchase more shoes.

I'm not all saying that this kid is some type of mastermind and I'm also not saying that his parents did not help support this business but I respect anyone, whether they come from an affluent family or not, who has a passion to make money legally at an early age knowing myself how difficult it was to get a "regular" job at that age

well i wasnt litterally saying $60k but he only made 8k in profit so the amount he used to cop the shoes with his own money is pretty high

I agree on a profit margin basis but that's net of the cost of the shoes; if I bought 10 pairs of shoes for $1,000, sold it for $1,350, I could now buy 13/14 pairs of new shoes with the proceeds, which would all count for future sales (e.g. I would now have $3,200 in cumulative sales from on my original $1,000)

I mean I can't hate on his hustle but damn only $6000? It also says he made 3000 off a 245$ shoe? I'm guessing that's the Red Octobers which are going for 4500+

You can find some red october for under 4000 and the 3000 is probably with ebay fee and original price of shoe
