I would just say that the gray flyknit is much lighter than the website, so your dark gray overlay might not work as well as you think. You should find some of the examples from posted pics, unless you already considered that. I like it overall though.

Thanks for the tip man. I was debating on a lighter gray overlay or just black overlay to blend with the midsole

But it's not that easy. Niketalkers purchases only represent a small portion of nikes ID sales. Simply saying "don't buy any" won't do anything.

Thanks for the pics man. awesome point of reference. Im sold, lol order has been placed. My design shows a lighter grey overlay but i actually got the same one you got which is "dark grey" i assume. Was debating whether to keep the dark grey or black but im sticking with my original.

This thread rocks. Great input and tips from everyone. Im already cookin up my next ID lol

Personally, I don't like the black tongue and white outsole but they look nice and simple. The Moonwalker print looks hot in the galaxy theme.

1. NikeID hyping up people for MC by taking it away, and not bringing it back.

2. Nike missing out on literally 100's of thousands of dollars of revenue.

You're logic is flawed.

1. Nike doesn't need to hype up the MC they sold like hot cakes on initial release.

2. Nike basketball is such a small fraction of the company's revenue. Also Nike doesn't care about leaving money on the table they do it all the time with       retro releases.

My guess is they're gone for good. Following this thread most of people orders have been shipped and the last are most likely going out the first of this week for the MC, we must face it Nike most likely is moving on.

to each his own, fellas. i respect your taste. (this layout does look really good with a gold swoosh.) but my taste is understated. i prefer simple, clean, muted designs. maybe i'm just gettin' older...

I just  like to be able to see the Kobe logo. I wish we could have the options of choosing colors for both.
 
^^^ gotcha. i'm just the opposite--i didn't want to see the kobe logo. i agree it would be nice to choose the swoosh and kobe logo colors independently!

Fact is now they have seen they can get away with that: people are gonna flock ASAP to the next remotely nice ID options (not only for kobes). Nike basically found a way to hype what wasn't hyped before; they might be losing a bit of revenue now but they have managed to bring much more revenue for all the next ID options, cause people are gonna order as soon as possibile to be sure they wont get screwed again

Yes Nike's history tells me this. They never cared about maximizing profits on a single sneaker. They know you'll buy the next one that releases. Your flaw is you think Nike cares about what we want or how we feel. You think it takes this long to fix a glitch on their own website that they built? If it comes back then great! But these all these conspiracy theories that nike has to trick us into buying more of a already popular model are ridiculous.
 
Anyone having this issue? My MC pair was supposed to be delivered on Friday 7/18. Since that morning my package has had a warehouse scan three times and is being "held in warehouse" in Louisville, KY. Getting worried since I've never seen something like this before.

Not sure if I could do $205 on the EM lows but since I don't even have a pair of 9s yet its tempting. Wish MC would come back but its not the end of the world. Got my eyes on the Beethovens and future High Top Releases

It might just be from the angle and that they're not tied up really tight. I don't think it's that high.
