Anybody else working on posture?

Have you looked into stand-up workstations?

This would also help with the strain sitting down for long periods of time has on your body.

Im intrigued.

So, I lifted the back of my char at my computer to almost a 90 degree angle and I've been sitting closer to the desk (legs and feet actually under the desk. Feet flat on the floor, also) so I don't have to lean forward and this is working out pretty damn good. My arms rest pretty naturally on the arm rests and reach the keyboard fine and it's comfortably in a good position.

I've been sitting up pretty straight in my car, but the problem that I noticed is that I drive with one hand usually and place it on TOP of the steering wheel, when it should be on the 10:00 or 3:00 section of the wheel so that I don't have to raise my shoulder in that awkward position. The 10:00 and 3:00 positioning allow for your shoulders to rest flush with the seat, giving you a better positioning to correct your posture.

Seems like good progress so far.

I think I'm pretty conscious about my posture due to growing up--older reading comic books...you know, one of the chief physical distinctions between Clark Kent and Supes was their posture.

all the sitting that we do is bad for us in general...work, driving, etc...none of it is good...

i get up at least once every 30 mins to take a lap around the office...

...and if im relaxing, im either reclined back or layed out...this is coming from someone who seriously hurt their back years and endured months of pain and discomfort from sitting in positions that were supposedly good for my back til surgery was needed...

I have awesome posture

Cant stand people slouching over the keyboard

I find my posture got way better the more physically fit I got. Now I feel like my core is stronger and its easier to sit/stand how I want, I used to slouch all the time

Same, my man.

The ones who slouch usually have weak cores.

The hardest part is catching yourself at first especially if you have a desk job. You don't wanna be hunched like Mr. Burns

Yeah I stand 12 hours a day. Come to think of it all my co workers on Tue line have good postures except one or two fat dudes.
