Idk I'm just kinda over hugging to feel better especially since homeboy is a variant

Maybe they don't take that storyline the entire season though

Regarding Austalia, there's a scene in the last episode where the TV is on in the background and the news reporter is heard talking about a man who came back from the other side and resides outside of Perth, Australia.

Really intrigued about this Australia connection now. And next episode ol' boy ready to put the paws on Kevin

Came back from the other side as in death, or as in from the departure? :nerd:

This is starting to feel very Lost-esque. This season is starting out exactly like season 2 of that show, where they had 3 or 4 episodes leading up to the same point (from different perspectives) before they finally got on with it

one of the writers or producers or something from Lost is in on the makings of this show

Yeah I know. Damon Lindelof.

I mean now that they're past the book and he probably has input on the story, he's definitely letting some of his old tricks in

Word I feel like some of yall are being fooled. All this Australia talk and what not. Don't get sucked in too much

When I read that one part somebody posted about not everything has to have an answer I was like  This is the perfect set up for Lindelof  Got some of yall quick to think the hugs aint supernatural. Everybody can't just be mentally ill.

Gonna be on some don't show me a smoke monster and tell me there's a fire nonsense.

Jesus I hope not. I'll be out with the quickness. Show hasn't really been that "great" overall, more of a I just can't NOT watch every Sunday

Leftovers was running so I rewatched it.

Yea, I'm definitely 100% convinced the hug story was made up, just by the words he uses when he tells it.

For instance, he says "....she just abandoned it in a rest stop bathroom, and the baby was crying I didn't know what to do, I was alone, so I looked to the ceiling and said Help. Not to God, not to anyone, I just said it, and then 10 seconds later I hear a knock on the door, and it was Wayne."

When you are telling a story like that it seems more natural to say, "and then immediately I hear a knock" "and a few seconds later I hear a knock" not specifically 10 seconds later

When people are lying to you things sound rehearsed, or too good, or too specific.

We don't know if the hugs are real yet, but that story sure isn't. He can't hug **** away

 Going too hard to analyze it like you discovered something new on the 2nd watch.

Plus you admit it yourself. Even if his story is a lie (which was clearly told to inspire those ppl) that doesn't mean he can't actually hug pain away like Wayne.

Unless it's not that and Wayne did have magical powers and he somehow taught/passed it on to Tom.

I mean in a world where so many ppl just up and disappeared how can you tell what's legit and what's not?
True and True.

I'm team #fakeHugPower though

^^^^Admitted that a long time ago

It's just my opinion that not only is the story fake, but the hug power is also fake, we don't know that either are, but I think both are, and I explained why

All I said was in the same post you explained why you also admitted why it doesn't prove anything or change your stance the last time you brought it up.

You think he lied about the story but it doesn't mean he's lying about the hug power stuff. Since all that stuff with him talking with Wayne actually happened in S1.

I didn't argue I just stated all he did was repeat himself and state why his own explanation doesn't even matter.

Basically, this is why I think this way but it doesn't really prove anything cuz this could still be true.

I swear idk how this show gets away with this ****
It's mad confusing
Still don't really know what's going on
But I continue to watch

I said it, kevin tried to kill himself.

Ok so how do they know that someone is a "sudden departure" thats what i dont understand. Which I know i know im not going to get answer but its kinda weird how they just got that notice plastered on the side of their house when there is no evidence that someone just vanishes

The son knew though.

I dont think the bum saw Patti but he instead just related since obviously Kevin was talking to someone out in the middle of the street in the middle of the night. Im still not convinced that the girls just disappeared and are "sudden departures". Guess we will see, but in the next week trailer Nora says that they were spotted in town somewhere.

The water is just water, but the town had no departures given the nickname Miracle. So the only reason I think the water is special to them is bacause its "miracle water" and its special since its in that town.

like everyone else ... just as confused but will keep on watching

I'm down for the troll. I don't even care anymore that nothing makes sense and there are no answers. HBO wins, I'd rather watch and wonder.

Patty's character went from dumb to dope. One of my favorite parts now. I didn't think Kevin would ever talk to her.
Was Virgil talking about Nora's first loss, or a loss we haven't seen yet?

And we need more Issaic. I can do without the tower man though.

I love Jill too. Her blank stares are greatness. Like she looks right through everybody she makes eye contact with. I love her

I used to hate Patty and I was neutral on Kevin. I like them both now.

Patty knew where the phone was but does that mean she's telling the truth about everything? She could be just messing with Kevin because it's her favorite pastime.

Evie clearly wasn't what she seemed she was running through trees butt naked for some reason

Nora makes a lot of sense even though she's going bat****....what kind of mass disappearance happens TWICE?

That wasn't the first time John been injured running up on somebody probably.

This show answers questions with more questions. It goes nowhere and its very good at doing it. That's not an insult either

Since when did Patty have such a distinct southern accent? I don't recall that from last season. Excellent episode though. I really enjoy the Patty/Kevin team. I wonder if that guy in the tower can truly see Patty?

Bruh I thought I was trippin
I'm like damn never noticed she had an accent

The Rick Roll

The Priest talking about his wife waking up was a fantastic scene.

Seems like the overall story is about this miracle town getting torn down. What happens when people stop believing in the miracles that kept them going.

They're going to keep some questions lingering (like what happened to the girls probably), but the show doesn't need to necessarily answer those things... It's different than throwing a bunch of confusing inexplicable situations out there like the show used to do
