I started watching that show The Returned that was talked about in the other thread. The premise is kind of opposite of this one. On episode 4 and it's good so far. Hopefully episode 2 of this will be more entertaining.
 
^^^apparently the next 2 episodes are some of the best of the season according to critics that got to preview the first 3 episodes of the show
 
Is this on Sunday nights?... Seems like something I'd like.. But want to watch the first two episodes back to back...

Do you mean whether it's been renewed for a second season yet, or if the each season has a different set of characters/actors like True Detective?

If it's the former I'm not sure; if it's the latter, I think it will be same characters for any subsequent seasons.

Since it's based off one book is it just going to be one season and then it's over?

Or are they they just going to add their own stories?
 
If it was going to be a mini-series / one season i'm sure hbo would've said it was.
 
Will they show a rerun of it immediately on HBO 2? Or put it on On Demand as soon as the episode comes out? Might be out somewhere around the time it comes on so I might miss it. Idk yet tho
 
Hmm Imma have to watch that episode since I was half paying attention and I felt like I missed some things. That black dude is really weird tho, I wanna know whats up with his character like his plan
 
I have no idea whats going on. Not the overarching plot, but with the black guy and son, or the smoking cult. Im not expecting everything to be explained right away, but its just watching mute people do stuff

I didn't watch tonight's ep but the last part of your post has me leading towards not even bothering :lol: .
 
This show feels like its destined to fail haha. I like it and all but it is confusing as to whats REALLY going on lol. Well ill be watching the rerun of it at 1230

So what's the deal with Garvey.

Obviously he wasn't hallucinating about the bald dude because Jill and Aimee both saw him and he wasn't tripping about missing his bagel either in that last scene with him.

What was Holy Wayne doing to that dead dude? Looked like he was licking his blood or something.

And Tom and Christine definitely gonna get it in.

She's cute and all, but I'd leave it alone if I were Tom.
 
That cult leader guy Wayne still creeps me out. When he told the chief's son it's time to get that poison out and unbuttoned shirt I was prepared for some ayo stuff even though the FBI guys talking at the start said he has a thing for young Asian girls. Mad suspect.

The daughter's hot friend. Thought the chief was about to smash until I realized it was a dream :lol: Pretty clear he is going a bit crazy like his pops who seems to be a real nutbag. I found it weird that the mayor is in a relationship with him but I guess she got daddy issues.

This ep was good just to hear Liv Tyler yell a few lines. You can grow to hate her quiet whisper talk after a while.

Overall I liked a few things but the ep still has me not caring. Other stuff happened like with the dog killer and questionnaire lady but meh now interesting. I can totally see this show being cancelled after this season.
 
I see it being cancelled as well, they're playing this up that you have to stay tuned for a long time for some further insight, but the problem is too many people are already tuning out due to there not being an explanation to the disappearances and no connection/care for any of the characters. I'll continue watching for now.
