I think a big hurdle I have with this, a lot of things could have been solved with conversations

show feels very very white in that regard

you got a trained medical professional that doesn’t get what she’s doing to her son and why he might snap.. or she’s not prepared for one of em to react in that manner after dealing with her husband and him directly yelling at her and then seeing how her daughter was dealing with it

im on the final episode of episode 10 and I kinda feel like while it’s good.. it should be better

like while the John storyline is good, they just letting dude role through like he teflon

also ain’t no black parent going let their child slide on that shhh.. I can only imagine the things my mother would do to me on that bridge

I was going watch devs after this..

but ummm I might wanna go to something else and save devs for next weekend

Finishing episode 6 of season 3..

whole f’n show is a lack of communication.. I mean I get it, to a degree

but after 2% of the population just up and disappears, all bets are kinds off with believing weird shhh.. how the hell you going draw hard lines on shhh

like why wouldn’t Michael and John tell Laurie about their own experiences with Kevin so she isn’t forming her opinion simple on her experience with the Kevins and automatically believing they’re crazy

or why wouldn’t Laurie tell her damn husband about their child going poof while she was getting an ultrasound

or like this f’n call with her kids, she doesn’t tell them where she is

or why would she drug everyone if she wasn’t going attempt to talk him out of it

I don’t mind that they didn’t answer all questions..

but my biggest gripes

again the lack of communication, this bish calls up Laurie on the regular but doesn’t want to call Kevin.. Laurie has to know how Kevin is doing and she doesn’t say shhh

but Nora crying about how he wouldn’t believe her WHEN she’s well aware of all the strange shh he has been through

also why the hell was she soo damn scared when he first shows up like he used to beat her something and she had to run away from dude, they had a fight.. I get being shocked, but ole girl was locking every single window and going as far as to lock the bathroom door like dude was some sorta terror to her

Also, given the communication skills of these people..

the 2nd to last episode wasn’t surprising at all that Kevin went 0fer for answers

I disagree with this completely.

S1 wasn't a love story at all. It was mostly about Guilty Remnant and Kevin's sleep walking. S2 it played the background as the focus was this magical town that had no departures. S3 in many ways was the fall out of s2 until it started to focus on the anniversary. Even all of the character interactions dont point to this being a love story

At its core, this was about broken ppl coping and trying to live their lives after an unexplainable event that directly or indirectly wrecks everyone's life in some shape or form.

Show was like a Lost redux. Kevin is Jack (a pragmatic skeptic that in the end gives in and believes), Matt is Locke (the man of faith), Nora I guess is Kate (got her own personal **** going on), Patty is sort of Ben (manipulative adversary).

exactly.. that’s why was kinda surprised when they dropped the heavy love angle at the end of the 2nd to last episode

while I didn’t mind that some of the questions weren’t answered

I didn’t necessarily see THAT angle and then ending up at that finale in that way

I mean I could see the 2 ending up together after letting go of their burdens and BS.. But didn’t necessarily seem like their relationship was one of love or like that it was more of shared burdens and understanding

Saw a couple of my posts from 2014 got likes in here and was like “huh??”

Not gonna lie, it felt good to see that some of my takes from season 1 were spot on.

what’s going on here though? Covid got y’all watching apocalyptic dramas?
