Thought for a second Meg was bout it with that bus

So I guess we know why Evie was butt naked in the forest running now?

What about the lake draining at the scene of the "departure" though?

Yall got some theories on what Meg has planned for Evie and them in the finale?

The notion I got from Kevin's first (conscious) visit with Virgil was that Patty was responsible for the lake draining.

Forgot about that. That makes sense

Good interview w/ Lindelof on tonight's ep.

I will say Meg's creation of a sub culture within the GR was interesting to me. No different than the religions some of us take part in..starts with one ideology and someone thinks their way is better within it

Also, any of yall rock with this? :nerd:

The three girls are going to hang themselves off the bridge, per Meg's plan. Guy in other world that Kevin saw on bridge was getting the ropes ready.

Quise2024 has been on the money. The first thing I thought about was the BET Uncut white girls song. [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Here are my thoughts on the episode.

1. When the show first started I assumed that the GR was comprised of people that were profoundly impacted by the disappearance and just couldn't deal with life. After this episode and Laurie's episode, I realize that the GR is filled with people that were hurting before and after the disappearance and that maybe people just want a sense of purpose.

2. Does anyone think Meg's GR squad is still located in Mapleton? The reason I ask is given the events of last season, I was surprised parents of the kids in the bus didn't roll up on Meghan and her squad and kill them if that happened in Mapleton. That town hates the GR.

3. Evie looked really sad when she talked to Meg. I wonder if Meg kept in contact after that to convince her to join the GR?

4. I can see GR Jarden crew doing a mass suicide like other cults to make people remember since they don't have a reference to remember October since they were unaffected.

5. I hope John regulates on the GR.

It's pretty interesting that Meg broke all the rules when I think about Evie. The GR does' recruit children or target them, Meg goes and recruits some teenagers.

Like them teens, especially that they're from Jarden don't know a damn thing about the world to be fronting like they joining the GR.

One message I'm getting loud and clear about this show is basically in the world post departures/rapture, joining cults is at an all time high.

No i dont think theyre in mapleton anymore, theyve gotta be somewhat close to TX. I swear each episode that "travel" is involved they seem to only be on the road for maybe a cpl hours. NY to TX should take you about a day.

Evie did look sad as hell. Im thinking how she told Meg nothing ever happens in Jarden, and w/e Eddie Winslow told her made her basically start up her own GR charter.

This episode was ok, only the last 10 min or so were good. But I guess we did need that background on Meg and Tom to tell the story a lil better. And we got clarification on what most assumed that the hugs were bogus.

All this time i thought Meg lost someone on the day of departures, but her mom went the day before. So her mom was gonna pay for her wedding and then 2 years later she was still planning it (where her EP aired in S1).

From what little bit Evie was present at the beginning of the season, watching them sing that little song at the school then she had that evil smile at the end comes off as if she didnt believe in Jarden.

I guess we can say the town def has something special about it sonce Kev was dead, buried, n came back to life. But maybe it was just coincidence no one departed from there. Maybe Evie joining the GR and their stunt coming up is a reminder to people that Jarden isnt special?

Meg did have a ppint when talking to Matt, all those people out there sitting at the bridge vs like what 5 cops? They could just storm the gate but they dont they just sit there and wait, but for what? What are they waiting on, because its not like just sitting there they'll eventually be let in.

Seems like we just got the show back on aor and now its over :frown:

Maybe the finale is 2 hours and goes with a bang :smokin

That country version of.i.promise you

Did the lake drain into the area where matt was.trying to get in ?

Good to see lockhart get some shine. That . barbecue place is good but never that clear ....

.

I dont think all those events were simultaneous

But then again idk maybe, that would explain all the water.

Edit: jus watched that scene, i dont think so, there was no eartquake. Unless the quakes only happen inside of the town

This show is deep glad I never stopped watching...a lot of real life ish that's going on that pertains to this and I love it. There needs to be more shows like this open ppls minds a bit

You guus remember Patti told Kevin she knows what happened to those girls.

Wonder what he would have done at that point had she told him?

It seems to me, that the psychic seemed legit, in knowing that Meg and her mom were at a restaurant before she died.

Liv Tyler - basically exclusive 'hand' (word to Seinfeld) over these guys she's giving stoning commands to because she had sex with them at times they were most vulnerable or something? Why is he still following her? Like there IS no reason.

Tom is emotionally/mentally unstable. I assume in Season 1 the brief flashback was a cpl friends he watched jump off the room while in college. No background on that but that appears to be why he dropped out, along with the departures while he was holding someones hand. From there he joins Wayne's lil army or w/e.

How he was with Wayne is exactly how he is with Meg. Whatever they did to tap into him while vulnerable has him hooked. with no instructions or direction hes a wreck.

And she told him she could do it for real, take his pain away. I guess from his family tearing apart n what not. So hes looking for that

Nah I wouldnt say she giving it up to people, Tom was prob an exception since she knew Laurie ditched the GR. That Mapleton group followed Pattis orders, its just who ever leads what they say goes of you down for it. Patti had Gladys stoned

:smh: at myself. I came in here to read about Meg wildin and what is in store for next episode only to get hit with a spoiler. I fell asleep while watching last night, the last scene I saw was Meg and Matt talking. Totally convinced myself that was the end of the episode :smh:. Missed the oh **** moment about Evie.

So far, imo all of the magical negroes have been legit.

It's a real thing

The term is mostly for movies but it dates back and is connected to the rest of stereotypical stock characters in literature.

When Patti dropped that trope reference had me dying "That's borderline racist"

Patty aint no ****. She lied to Kevin and told him the girls had departed.

She did? I must have missed that part then.

I just remember her and kevin talking and she mentioned the girls when he was looking for his phone

Nah Wayne wasnt, but I guess in a way you can actually say he was even though it was fake.

We'll disagree on Wayne.

She said it in the next ep after they disappeared. First she told him the beginning I know where they went, then she says they've disappeared/gone and not coming back.

We might look at this differently cuz I took Patty to be the product of Kevin's illness. Not some actual lingering spirit. Everything he's been going through with her has been a mass hallucination except for taking the poison but medically I bet that could be explained as well. Like Laurie said, she doesn't know anything Kevin didn't already know and repressed/forgot.
