I've never seen a show do a drastic change in one season for the better. I liked the first season a bit, that's why I came back for the 2nd, and it's truly been some great TV the past two episodes. The season as a whole has been awesome.

Cant think of a show that made this drastic of a jump from season 1 to 2

Did anyone catch on to these things:

- Patti talking about a cave closing in
- the well location being basically somewhere near the first cave woman died in Ep1
- the eagle after pushing Patti in

So what would have happened if Kevin didnt save little Patti from pool? And was she a little girl to try and distract Kevin from doing it?

Only thing Im confused about is who is the real deal Virgil or Garvey Sr, they both had Kevin kill Patti in different ways but it seemed like the well is the one that worked

Alson wonder what the story would have been like if he chose his cop uniform or theother clothes but no biggie. Kev was out there looking like Jason Statham :smokin

Glad to see Gladys again. Her demise last season was one of the most brutal things I've ever seen on TV. The music, the acting and the story was the best I've ever seen on this show. I really hope HBO renews this for a third season.

Ok soooooo at no point ever when referencing her husband did Patti mention he was dead. Laurie never did either in the brief 10 seconds she talked about him .. or did i miss that part.

With that said, we know for a fact that Gladys is dead (stoned), Patti is dead (killed herself), Virgil is dead (shot himself), Wayne is dead, and Kevin is dead (drank the poison). After last night found out that Neal, Patti's husband, is dead. Im guessing Patti offed him?

When talking to vin he asks his occupation and Kevin in return asks him. Neal says everyone has these messed up jobs or whatever but everyone there in that hotel is dead ... given what we know now about the plot's relation to the Divine Comedy we are assuming that this is one of the stages of hell correct?

Remember kevin asking the bellhop if those balloons were for him, and he said is your name Mary Jamison?

So basically Mary is dead? Whats going onnwoth her in real life in Miracle wheres she just stares. Is she a body clinging to life? If she is dead, wonder what she has done that shes in that same hotel.

Edit:
Mary Jamison makes an appearance in Purgatory, receiving congratulatory balloons that suggest she’s having a boy. I wasn’t sure what to make of this, but it implies that her and Matt’s baby will be born but that Mary, perhaps, will die in childbirth.

Also, what the hell with Garvey Sr  he was in a hotel in Perth, Australia but it was the exact same as Kevins AND they had a damn campfire in the room with cavemen?

these questions prob wont get answered but it had me thinking.

Hearing Patty's story about Jeopardy and trying to leave was very sad. I was surprised Kevin had the strength to kill her after that.

**** at that point  he may have felt relieved by putting her out of her misery after those stories.

Didnt think about the theory on Mary.

Kevin's dad
Kevins Dad on that psychadelic trip, broadcasting to hotel purgatory. Looked similar to an ayahuasca ceremony, I think he called it "God's Tounge".

Saw someone link to this on twitter.... Remember that news broadcast from earlier in the season?

Broadcaster: "Resurrection, that's the claim in Australia, as witnesses described a man previously believed dead, emerging from a cave in Wanneroo, outside the city of Perth." Australian dude (witness) :" walked out covered in mozzie bites, saying he'd just been in ahotel! " Reporter:" The man, identified as David Burton" TV turns off
All these references are wild

I think this episode gave us more insight into Patty and why she is the way she is . I got the impression that Neil was probably mentally if not physically abusive. Look how he responded when Patty almost drowned . Neil treated Patty with complete disdain and disgust.

also thought it was also interesting how he had to kill her in all of her different personalities.

When she was the confident leader of GR

Feeling like a child in her abusive relationship with Neil.

and her completely broken from both paths in the end

Also saw a mention of the 50k references, that's what Matt needed to save his church last season

Do you think that Patty used the Jeopardy winnings when she was leading the GR?
