What I'm curious about is what season 2 is going to cover/be about. Based on a wikipedia read, they're gonna be done with everything in the book by episode 9.

I'm still not so sure the bald guy is real. When the girls walk in they dont directly acknowledge him, the daughter just takes the beer as she is walking past. When she comes back out of the kitchen she asks Garvey who was there and he says no one and she looks confused. I need to rewatch that scene again to see if it comes off differently after watching a second time.

Anyone agree or get the same impression?

I told my wife the guy is fake.

I think Chief was holding the beer and being at the door she assumed someone knocked or something. Her friend walked passed the bald guy with no acknowledgement.

Man be lucky you guys didn't watch resurrection with Omar Epps. Makes this show look like GOT

Felt molested after watching the whole season.

I feel that baldie is real, Chief just has to believe & have faith à la Jack from Lost.

I'm waiting to see Magical Black Man with Yellow Fever's power, probably on some Green Mile steez.

Maybe this is secretly one and done series? or maybe they'll go off book and cover a town of ppl somewhere else going through the same aftermath of this.

sort of like the upcoming The Walking Dead show that'll follow new characters and a new story line about survival.

I'm convinced the 2% were sent to the island, and bathe in the piss stream that powers it.

1 and done for this show.
That would be funny but that's way too many ppl. Ben would have a lot of ppl to kill off

Nah you reaching. She said who was that. Not who was there. Plus she acknowledged dude when she took the beer, he told her she could take it

It just doesn't make sense

That would mean he was standing at the door open holding a 6 pack talking to himself. Then his daughter and her friend show up and take it out of his hands walking by him knowing nobody was there at all. I mean the two of them had to walk around the bald guy to get inside. It would make no sense for the daughter to then ask who was that when she knows her dad was standing at the door alone.
Resurrection..

How that **** got ok'd for a 2nd season is mind bottling
It did? :wow: Wow.

Thought for sure it was canceled.

I'm just confused to be honest.

Especially not knowing why or how they disappeared...I dunno....between this and true blood, HBO is slacking.

I was surprised as well.

I'm in the minority, but I'll check out season 2.

Season 1 was meh, but it's hard for me to up and quit a show.

I had high hopes for that show. Boy was I wrong.

Just wish Red would of sneaked in a 'dumash' in one if his lines

Will record resurrection until it's done and just watch them all in a row. Not worth waiting week to week.

I just watched the first episode and (if they were real of course) the bald dude did Garvey a favor killing that dog

Its been three years that dog has been roaming the wild....for all he knows it could've attacked him at any second.

Other than that, Garvey seems to be slowly deteriorating mentally.

His daughter is CLEARLY in need of guidance, she's been pretty much abandoned by her whole family.

Now this was a great ep. I loved it for all the wrong reasons technically but it was just superb. Straightfoward, no mysteries, focused, tell a story, no bs.

I could've watched a 2 hr movie of this dude taking Ls. It was that good. Religious issues aside I actually agree with what he's doing. To paint all of these ppl as inoccent or "heroes" when there's rapists and murderers included aint a good look. Then this guy himself just had such a ****** up story, wife in a coma, parents burned up, diagnosed with a death sentence, sister's fam disappeared, then him not even fighting his principles by telling his sis about her cheating husband, losing the church, looked like he adopted some African kids and he lost them too, etc. Son was like the living embodiment of Ohio and Florida with the amount of Ls he took. Then things begin to work out for him.

With the whole ending, I can see why those mutes tried to recruit him.

If the eps were more like this I think it'd better send the message that show is more about the aftermath of this even than the mystery of what happened and wanting answers.

What I found really good was that even though they used a lot of cliches and tropes they curved on everyone until the last one. I saw the whole guy robbing him coming but he overcame that, every stop with the money I was thinking how dumb he is. Once he came out the car to help those ppl I knew it was a wrap. Then the seen before but nice twist that he been in the hospital 3 days late

Really really good ep.

As for the previews, seems the chief did smash a 14 year old :smh:

 @ his dad escaping.

I started crying when they played "Love Will Keep us Together"

After dude ethered boy in the parking lot...like everything was all gravy

This show is hard for me
I don't know whether I like it or not
I guess I wanna know what happened
Maybe I should read the book

Latest episode was a rager with all them Ls.

I like how he put that battery in his sister's back with that info, & they showed her in the preview with the burner, looking at that preschool teaching home-wrecker.

I was going to maybe push this show to the back burner but this episode might be a game changer. The decision to just focus on that one character was great. People's reactions to his newsletter/info was a welcome add especially his sister. The ep really felt like a rollercoaster.

I'll keep watching.

The whole montage sequence of the priest and the fire, car crash, etc was very well done. Definitely sold me to keep watching the series.

Only 7 more left anyway.
