Caught a piece of an episode where dude went from 20k to 160k on the roulette, what epi is that?...I'm i far behind...I WAS LOSTTTTT...the scenes kept jumping back and forth and I didn't understand much, is this sort of a "rapture" where the people that vanished were saved and those that stood behind will have to prove their worth or die in hell on earth?...that's the time that episode gave off...

That is the latest episode.

Honestly, I didn't understand much from the first two and the officer/rabid dog story arc was starting to get annoying. This episode had a little more clarity and was straightforward, which is what made it good.

Son was like the living embodiment of Ohio and Florida with the amount of Ls he took.

I started crying when they played "Love Will Keep us Together"

After dude ethered boy in the parking lot...like everything was all gravy
That was surreal. Made me wonder if I watching the same show  Felt like a whole other thing.

This one to me, honestly was one of the best epiosdes of any show i've ever seen. Def re watching tonight. Like some of yall have said, i like how it was mainly focused on just one char and this episode felt like an entire movie.
I was on the fence on the show, now i'm def still watching

im trying get into this show but it makes me sleepy/bored  :smh: ...But this priest story line is def better than the cop one

I could've watched a 2 hr movie of this dude taking Ls. It was that good. diagnosed with a death sentence, Son was like the living embodiment of Ohio and Florida with the amount of Ls he took. Then things begin to work out for him.

so he has a terminal illness.

He had one I guess. The montage of him reliving the worse moments of his life specifically had his grown up self replace his child self where applicable.

I'm guessing he beat the disease but then his parents die. It's just like the end of this ep, nothing in his life ever goes all the way right. Get 160k to buy back your church? End up in the hospital for 3 days trying to help someone so you miss the deadline.

Only reason I'm watching till the end is because of the of the teaser of him smashing his daughters friend
laugh.gif

im betting it now

he didn't smash the young girl

and the white walkers start striking back with violence.

I gotta rewatch this episode, I fell asleep 20 mins in, woke up with like 10 to go and couldn't process anything at all

I just randomly discovered Halt and Catch Fire from browsing onDemand.  I love that show and have been telling everyone i know about it, hope it has some longevity..

Me as well, I really like. Based off the response on NT I scared for its success, the thread hasnt even gone to pg 2 yet last time I checked.

Man be lucky you guys didn't watch resurrection with Omar Epps. Makes this show look like GOT

So ******* true, I stoped watching it for a long time. Then binged on it a few weekends ago out of boredom.

Also regarding the daughter's friend, not sure if it was you dhart, but someone who read the book said she's supposed to be a dime? She already got some in the party and seems like she's dtf so I wouldn't rule out her and Garvey yet

She only got head, I don't think the dude smashed. What was the deal with that party anyway? The dude only jerked in the room with the daughter, what were they supposed to do?

I'm still not so sure the bald guy is real. When the girls walk in they dont directly acknowledge him, the daughter just takes the beer as she is walking past. When she comes back out of the kitchen she asks Garvey who was there and he says no one and she looks confused. I need to rewatch that scene again to see if it comes off differently after watching a second time.

Anyone agree or get the same impression?

I thought he wasn't real until I saw that scene. I thought they were going to pull a sixth sense on us, but the daughter did acknowledge his presence when she asked the father who was THAT.

I'm left with a lot of things unexplained. First off was there ever a deer? His front bumper seemed good the next day when he was driving. Also was the kitchen even messed up? All that damage and everyone acts like it is nothing? Even if the deer didn't do it, it must have been him that did it, but no mention of it after that scene.

The black dude seems to be running a ***** house of asian girls. THat one chick is the chosen one, is she supposed to be a virgin still and he is holding out or preserving her for a baller or something? I don't get his MO, and I'm more confused about his homo tendancies. Was he offer to give the kid head to release the poison? :smh:

The chick who lost her whole family gets a pass throught the town, so what is her deal? Did she use the event as an opportunity to wipe them out herself or what?

Oh yeah one thing that should be explained or touched on.

So during this dudes wild hallucinations after getting hit in the face with a rock, there was the part where he was having sex with his wife and then it turned in to the chief's wife for the rest of that sex scene  It didn't even switch back and forth. One could say it was just cuz he saw her earlier but I wonder if the wife was having an affair with him too and it just kinda further shows this Pastor was a bit of a scumbag before all that bad **** finally hit him harder.

not going to read any posts in here until later ... after i watch the latest episode...

haven't watched a show in a while that had me THIS confused .... typically if I'm confused it's because the writer tried to get too cute and made the **** just utterly ridiculous

the plot of this show so far is CRAZY ... I have no idea where this is going ... at all

Jill tho .... lawd ... Meg Abbott could get that work too

2 things I need to know.....  a) why the **** is GP always smoking cigarettes .... b) what is the asian girls role in all of this

Third episode was superb. Couldn't come at a better time either because the first two eps left quite a bit to be desired.

Nah at the party that guy definitely smashed. They only showed when he started getting it in.

It was a regular teen party I guess for these days and similar naked twister they a sex game. This was like that game with the sexual acts on a dice and you roll them with whoever you matched with except for it was a map and you spun the phone like a wheel. The friend got chose to have sex with the guy and the chief's daughter got chose with that weirdo dude to get one of those asphyxiation orgasms; basically choking while getting off and that can be done in a # of ways. She did it in the least interested way obviously

Why do they smoke? Whats the symbolism in it? Why does the head of KKK speak when she wants...doesn't that defeat the purpose of their mission?

Just watched the first episode yesterday. So many questions. What the heck is going on? I guess if I read the book I would have a better understand right? Where did the people go lol. I dont care about the people that got left back my biggest question is where are the people? Was it Aliens? Lol.

Third episode was much better. I was genuinely angry when the Guilty remnant bought the church. All that work for nothing.
