so we gonna sit here and act like rule wasnt the reason for most of 50s buzz
Cmon stop it 50 had everybody saying "yo why that dude going at rule like that" you dont think going hard at one of the top rappers at the time didnt jump start 50s buzz
In da club was just icing on the cake
Btw back down >>>>> hit em up, ether, takeover etc
i'm pretty sure Snoop was the first one to do those numbers before anybody else in hip hop, 50 & Em were the last few who were close to him in first weeks sales.
Y'all gotta take into consideration some dudes were too young to know how big snoop was. I was 4 at the time and the only reason I had a clue is because my uncles lived by snoop. But I'm going with 50, my grandma knew this ***** songs
Exactly,
Number #1 was Snoop by far. Folks forget, you had pastors and all sorts of people complaining about Doggystyle and buying the album only to run over it with a steamroller live on TV. I think his album was discussed up on Capitol Hill at a few sessions or meetings.

50's buzz was unstoppable. Dude created the perfect storm with his music, story, and team. I don't think anything in rap reached his heights, also he was the first to really blow in the digital era(mp3/iPod). Snoop may have been big, but the power of the internet magnified 50 to be international.
you're underestimating Snoop's reach my brother. Snoop Dogg to middle america might as well
be the logo for rap. i'm almost certain dude is the most recognizable face and voice in rap internationally.
