Op your an idiot. And idk why it would make a difference to you but NO you idiot all black people are not from the hood. I'm from the country. I live down a dirt road and gave 2 acres of land and privacy all to myself. And everybody surrounding me is family.

And yes I live in South Carolina and I have all my life.

Are you Gullah?

I think at this point in time, the black middle class has grown to make up the majority. I have no data to back that up, but "middle class" in general is bigger and just treading above poverty level as it is.

Well we know damn sure that OP ain't from the hood

Lived in the hood from ages 8-14.

Pioneer CIty in Severn, MD. Maryland City in Laurel, MD. Those places suck, but it was fun bein a kid there. I was lucky I had a family that put it in my head as a child that college was not an option but just what you're supposed to do, and I moved to the burbs right before the hood had a chance to take me under.

The main thing I'm trying to get at is this is a dumb question cuz u can't lump ppl and all places in the hood category ...if I remember you the same dude from pg that's scared to walk around Baltimore...you said being round Hopkins is terrible so Laurel n Severn damn sure ain't no hood compared to that so that would answer your original question that no not all black ppl live in the hood

if they were to do a study on this topic, how would you define "hood"?
To be honest I don't even know how you would describe hood aside from impoverished area.

I'm looking at that map @AckDaQuick posted, and it seems like most Blacks definitely don't live in the hood.
the proper definition of hood is just a short version of neighborhood, and most people live in neighborhoods

depending how you define the street slang version of "hood", your answer could either yes or no. so the answer is more in how you define the term than where most black people live
