Resellers Exposed! Their Point Of View

If it wasn't for resellers, I would always have my size 13. And I wouldn't have to be at the store all week either, Friday afternoon at the latest. And I would actually like hanging in the mall on a Friday night/ Saturday morning like the old days. Makes the shoe more sentimental. Damn right i dont value their time, barely anyone wears 13s!

It's a hustle. Everybody hates re-sellers but there's re-sellers in every industry. Simple supply and demand.
Very true.
Not reading. These dudes would be better off learning how to code or trade stocks with the time they dedicate to reselling for pennies.
I love responses like this, typical nt logic.

Say what you want but learning how to code is gonna be a necessity moving forward. And trading stocks is a decent hustle once you learn the ropes. These dudes are dedicating the same amount of time to a bubble that will be deflated in the next few years when they could be learning discernible skills that will keep them current with society. My bad for the typical NT logic.

I am not denying the importance of coding nor trading; however that has nothing to do with these guys and their hustle. There isn't a need to throw shade at someone who is making money in a way that works for them. You just come off as someone with hate in your blood when you make the statement you did. I keep hearing people on here talking a bout "the bubble" and how it's going to pop. You are quite delusional if you believe that. Footwear has reached new heights due to the internet and it's never going to go back the days of old either. It may be a different brand than what is currently coveted, but there will always be a demand for what is deemed cool.

Sneakers....that go for $250+ are not bubblelicious? Ok, so as inflation and the cost of living increases, and people are buying less with their dollars, they're still gonna throw 5 bills at a pair of sneakers? Have fun with that. 5-10 years max of this madness and then it goes back to normal when folks could buy kicks in store at a reasonable price a week after their release date.

I don't see why y'all don't just duff these chumps at craigslist/FB meetups & drop retail on their chests,

I used to get event tickets at face by merely suggesting the scalper would be better off taking my offer of face vs my offer of nothing.

Saves on convenience fees!

 dog I be thinkin bout it but then the adult comes out in me,

NTers, "I can't stand resellers!"

Then upload a shoe $100 over retail in classifieds

With the excuse of "I didn't buy wanting to sell, I just don't want/can't fit then anymore" lol.

I laugh at people who pay retail for these ridiculously priced shoes, let alone people that pay resell

its not resellers killing the game its the people who buy from em.

Think about it. If people weren't so hyped to buy a shoe from a reseller they would eventually stop reselling shoes cuz the boxes would keep pilling up and the money keep emptying their checking accts. Eventually they would give up the hustle if it wasn't working...meaning the thirsty cats who paying them double aren't buying from them or atleast until they come down to a reasonable price.

Resellers are taking an opportunity that we provide them. Can't knock them, they're smart with the hustle. Its the people that "need" that shoe.

No way some "reseller" is just sitting on 50 pairs to resell and no moving them, while continuing to buy more to resell. Eventually they can't pay for all the pairs they buying and stop.

I haven't been into shoes for years but these guys are full of it. People do have a right to hate them. They wanna pretend like you're paying for the convenience of avoiding campouts and  limited availability but that is not the case. They contribute to the very hassles that their business model claims to combat.

From the article "MIKE: What we try to do is buy as many sneakers as we can for less. Like we’ll tell a store manager, “We'll take them all.” Easy for us and easy for them. Everyone is happy."

Then they wanna turn around and jack up the price pretending they are doing you the favor. If you respect the hustle that is okay. They shouldn't pretend like there business is doing any good or helping people out cause that is a lie.

Those days are never coming back.

Buying from resellers is the true problem. If you miss out on a shoe...let it go and move on...or stop complaining and pay resell.

There's a difference of someone reselling a pair of kicks to use the money on a future release or another pair they covet more, to some who posts a pic on IG with a trunk full of Jordan Boxes of a full size run trying to "make a hustle"

THIS.

If I decide to sell a portion of my personal collection for market value that does NOT make me a reseller.

If an individual specifically buys out entire size runs and uses bots to buy multiple pairs/sizes for the sole purpose of resale that's a reseller.

If a person buys 2-3 pairs of the same shoe for the purposes of selling 1 or 2 to have a free pair, that's also a reseller. Whole LOT of NTers that do this and still ***** about resellers. If I cop a double I'm keeping both. For example, I copped two pairs of BIN IXs and I'm keeping both.

When I decide to sell it's not a matter of finance, it's a matter of just selling pairs I've decided not to keep. Usually that money goes right back into future sneaker purchases, IE shoes I covet more.

Not tryna make a business out of it but at the same time not doing anyone who doesn't show me love any favors. I'll happily reciprocate "fairer" pricing to those in my circle, dudes who look out for me I look out for in return. However if I don't know you I'm not going to cut anyone any deals. Simple as that. AIn't no sucker.

this, if you can't get them for retail have some self control.  if you miss a shoe the world isn't going to end.
