NTWT WWE WRESTLEMANIA PPV PREDICTION CONTEST RESULTS

I apologize for the delay. Between the move to Mexico and there being 121 entries, this took an unreasonable amount of time. I will be recording the results of Extreme Rules as the PPV is going on so I can get the results of this Sunday's PPV out much, much quicker.
  • 121 entries (a new record)
  • 2000 total possible points
    • I didn't set the points until after the PPV was over.
    • The only question I made worth much more than I was originally planning was the winner of the Undertaker/Lesnar match.  If you picked Brock, you deserved extra points.

It was a crazy first week for me here in Mexico City.  It was also a very crazy week of wrestling.  From The Undertaker losing to Daniel Bryan winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title to The Ultimate Warrior's untimely passing to Eric Young winning the TNA Title.

Well, maybe not so much the last one.

My week should be much more calm now that I'm somewhat settled in down here.  I'll be following along with Raw live tonight.  And by Wednesday, the WrestleMania PPV Prediction Contest results will be posted (trying for tomorrow, but no promises).

Tonight on Raw, there will be some type of Ultimate Warrior Tribute.  It is not an entire show dedicated to him in the sense it is nothing but video packages, but there will be many segments and videos about him throughout the night.

We will also have the start of an Intercontinental Championship #1 Contenders Tournament.  I'm all for this.  Anything to make a meaningless belt  feel somewhat important is good with me.

And lastly, we'll have the fallout of last week's closing segment where Daniel Bryan and The Shield laid out HHH, Randy Orton, Batista, and Kane.  This is likely heading to a 4 on 4 match at Extreme Rules.  There will not be a War Games match as the arena is not configured to hold two rings.  In fact, now through Summerslam, all of the "Special Events" aka PPVs are not configured to hold two rings.

TMZ reported today that the official cause of death for James B. Warrior (Hellwig) was atherosclerotic and arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

Essentially he passed away on Tuesday due to a massive heart attack, which is what, from the nature of his collapsing while walking to his car and clutchig his chest while walking to his car in front of a Scottsdale, AZ, hotel is what most had expected.

Not reported in TMZ is that they are proceeding with a death investigation.  They are less concerned with how he died as compared to how he got there.  The findings will be made public when the investation, which could take several months, is completed.

Good they need to bring some prestige

 back to that belt.

Passover sedar is taking RAW's time tonight, will watch on DVR.

Hope something good comes from the IC #1 contender saga

Hoping for a good raw.

I'll say Rusev or Barrett becomes#1 contender.

Rusev does that terrible camel clutch. Bad News Barrett would be pretty good. I like Fat RVD to contend.

I missed all shows last week. Anything I NEED to see? Or can I just delete em?
Just go ahead and watch the entire RAW episode. I'm sure you'll know which filler parts to skip. It was a very good & entertaining show and they did exactly what you would want coming out of Wrestlemania; laying the grounds for new pushes/feuds.

I haven't seen Main Event yet but Shield vs. Wyatts had another match on there.

Curious to see how Warrior heavy tonight's show will be. WWE usually knows how to handle these things right.

Posted it in last week's thread but ill post it here instead.

Cesaro needs to win the IC tournament an then have a gauntlet match with all the people in the tournament at Extreme Rules with Big Show being the last dude and have him give him a swing or the Neutralizer.

And I mean a gauntlet match with actual contenders that might seem like they'll take the title, so keep Miz out of it.

The word coming from Meltzer's daily update is that DirecTV has decided to drop WWE pay-per-views.

This is a huge blow to WWE since there is a large chunk of their audience that still orders through traditional pay-per-view and has still not gotten on board with the WWE Network.

Perhaps DirecTV decided to cut ties after WWE offered the WWE Network free trial again essentially giving away WrestleMania for free to new subscribers.
Bang Bang.

This was destined to happen sooner or later, but I don't think WWE was expecting it right now. The other dominoes will probably fall pretty soon as well.

All in on the Network.

Daniel Bryan will not be on tonight's Raw. It was confirmed during his Wrestling with Rosenberg WM30 interview (@DCAllAmerican) that he got the day off for his honeymoon with Brie.

The IC is a CURSE. Cesaro does not need this anchor tied to him.
Yep. Said this in the old thread. He went nowhere with the US title. Same thing will happen with the IC title.

Give him a main event push. Doesn't necessarily have to win the title but let him be in that picture

Did Cesaro get a new theme song? The Real Americans one is still really dope nonetheless haha

While I do agree that most if not all the people who've held the IC title in the previous couple of years haven't done anything with it as far as elevating the title, I think Cesaro/Heyman can do it.

The reason Heyman/CURTIS AXEL didn't work out was because not one cared about that bum, but Cesaro is over the moon right now and having him with the title and actually defending it would add more prestige to it IMO.
