Wrestling Thread April 14-May 4 | 5/3 WWE Extreme Rules PPV Prediction Contest Now Open!

 @ the typo in that script of Tensai's name.

Jason Alberto. I would love for them to call him that.

Yea Bret could be in any Top 10 list as far as technique goes. He is one of the best to ever do it man.

Funny you bring up Bret (or Brentt as @PeepGame would call him), I am watching the 1991 Royal Rumble and he just came out. You must be psychic man.

But of course you know these lists are all about favoritism. Anyone can be in that Top 10 list of pure wrestlers. But I am sure Flair and HBK will be on everyone's list. Bret as well.
lol not psychic but thats awesome.i always liked brets wrestling since back in the foundation days.

hbk is my all time fave.total package.showstopper

high flyers list is solid.pillman was ill n ultimo

but what jeff hardy did in his run (especially those tlc matches)you could made a case for him asd the best

Me liking Jeff Hardy is a guilty pleasure. He had a lot of senseless high flying man. A lot of what he did didn't make any sense at all. But dude was entertaining as hell man.

1.Eddie 1.Eddie 1.Eddie
Yea, Flair, Eddie, Macho, HBK, and Kurt Angle probably have the greatest collection of all skills needed to be great. Unless I am missing someone.

Kawada would crack 11-15........sorry. Who would you take out G?

@DangerousG

It's hard to say, I would probably have to make a seperate North American and Japan list because the styles are so different but if I had to pick out one guy....it would be Mutoh. I know you love the guy, but if we're evaluating just pure in-ring skills, I would have to say he was the weakest out of the Three Musketeers (Chono pre-neck injury was a beast, ala Stone Cold). His charisma is unmatched though.

My definition of a pure wrestler is someone who knows how to do holds/counter-holds and can tell a tremendous in ring story..Based on that here's my top 10.. (Not necessarily in a particular order, except number 1)..

1. Ric Flair
2. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat
3. Bret Hart
4. Shawn Michaels
5. Jushin "Thunder" Liger
6. Randy "Macho Man" Savage
7. Arn Anderson
8. Kurt Angle
9. Dean Malenko
10. Steve Austin

Honorable Mention: Jericho, Shane Douglas, Taz, Mr. Perfect, Muta, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, Ted DiBiase..

Top 10 All Around Wreslters (Holds/Counter-Holds, Story Telling, Mic Skills, Overall Crowd Control)

1. Flair
2. Austin
3. Rock
4. Anderson
5. Hart
6. HBK
7. Sting
8. Undertaker
9. Savage
10. Hogan

Honorable Mention: Jericho, Douglas, Bryan, Punk, Taz, HHH, Dusty Rhodes, Harley Race, Warrior..

I'm sure there is probably a couple from each list I'm forgetting, but those are the first names that immediately come to mind..

I always prefer the quicker wrestlers, so that is why Mutoh will always be my dude. Beside Masato Yoshino (Dragon Gate), Mutoh might be the quickest dude I have ever seen in the ring.

But you are right, Japan and North America are so different. I should have made two lists

Watched a couple Muta matches way back when DC put me on to it. My goodness is he explosive.
Yes he was man. His quick short bursts of energy are only rivaled by Benoit. No wasted energy man.

@CaseKicks, good lists man. I never knew you were such a big Arn Anderson fan. And much respect for showing love to Steamboat man. He is often time forgotten in all of this. Maybe if he were a jerk he would get more respect.

From tonight's Smackdown tapings.....

* Paige vs. Aksana is up next. Paige gets dominated most of the match but wins with her Scorpion Cross Lock.

You read that correctly.

Aksana can only do a spinebuster correctly, so I'm not sure how she would dominate Paige unless she injured her

Maybe they are building Paige up as a Rocky underdog ypr perhaps

A Fox whopped on her bad and the crowd popped big during Paige's comeback
