Wrestling Thread April 14-May 4 | 5/3 WWE Extreme Rules PPV Prediction Contest Now Open!

Cesaro should've been the original choice to be a Heyman guy instead of Curtis Axel..

agreed. plus now that heyman came out on Monday night before bringing cesaro out and bashed the undertaker and non stop talked about the streak made it seem heelish. plus he didn't have music. was anyone else pissed about that ? of course at first thought it sounds great but I just see failure.

yea i like cesaro as a face but i guess hes making that heel turn ,but between him and the wyatts ,cant tell cuz the fans love them, well i do personally.

im sure he will split from heyman once he really gets over but i feel like they should of done this before he was over.

either way heel or face cesaro is my dude man,i guess they decided he needed a good mouthpiece

i guess its rare for a face to have a manager.undertaker being the exception.

This should've been the WCW Championship belt or the Winged Eagle belt, I've never liked this belt

-As previously reported, this week's RAW tournament to determine the number one contender to Big E's Intercontinental Championship was not the original plan. The Wrestling Observer has posted a new report claiming a four-way match between Big Show, Jack Swagger, Cesaro and Christian was the direction Vince McMahon wanted to go on Monday.

Christian was not cleared to wrestle, but even if he had been, The Observer report states that McMahon still would have changed the match.

Ultimately, McMahon didn't think the four-way was going to position the new contender as strong as this tournament would do. Therefore, he made the decision to change the match, regardless of Christian's involvement or not.

Vince likely took Big Show out of the match since the tournament would cause him to lose clean, be disqualified, or some other screwy finish, and Show wasn't ever planned to be the winner. The four-way would have allowed Big Show to lose without ever being pinned.

Cesaro was actually slated to be the winner of the four-way, according to The Observer report, and I would imagine he is still the odds-on favorite to win the tournament. The winner, of course, will go on to face Big E for the title at WWE Extreme Rules.

-The plan is for Alexander Rusev to have a squash match at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view, reports The Wrestling Observer, as long as time permits it.

Dolph or sandow? I'm still not convinced with this boss Rusev dude. He doesn't have any moves that wow me. Epecially his finisher.

Cesaro is the truth but I'm not crazy about him going after the IC belt. Maybe if it becomes more meaningful and gets defended more often with him carrying it. But right now I'd rather see someone else hold the thing.

Give Christian one more chance, Vince.

The Shovel should strip Ambrose of the US Title and just bury it somewhere forever.

i agree. and i find it odd to bring out something like this w/ the conformation that they are dropping the that WWE logo this fall for the Network logo.

DC: You need to check out Neville (PAC) Japanese matches, Ricochet, Ibushi, Rich Swann and AR Fox.
Never heard of Swann or Fox. I have seen a lot of Pac and Ibushi. It is a generational thing man. My mind is already made up and I can't really put anyone in a Top list that wasn't of my childhood. That is why they probably aren't on my list. But Pac has shown me a lot over the last 3 year.

Fgkhddjhffdtygv @ Bo Dallas attempting to occupy NXT
Dude is funny man. I didn't like him at first but he is aight.

Paul bearer might of
been the greatest manager ever simply because without him who knows if
the undertaker gets over and stays around as
long as he did. Heenan and heyman are always atop everyone's lists, but the impact bearer had on the undertaker is beyond words.
While I do think Heenan was the best, this is a great point and in no way is he not in the top 3.

Heenan >>> all

He worked with great talent: Andre, Rude, Flair, Perfect, Bundy, Orndorff, Arn & Tully, Harley Race.

He was Hogan's #1 adversary during the "Hulkamania" years. The only thing you had to do to turn Andre heel for WM3 was to pair him with Heenan.

But, above all, Heenan was able to take bumps and sell like no other manager. He took press slams from Hogan & Warrior. He was being thrown over the top rope on a regular basis. This just helped to elevate the face, whether it was Hogan or Warrior, that much more. If you go back and watch some 80s matches, sure the crowd loved when Hogan won, but they popped like crazy when he would get his hands on Heenan.

This is something that no other manager was able to do, even today.

Crowd went pretty nuts for Punk to get his hands on Paul E, but that's one of the only examples to put up against Heenan, who did it a ton.

- It’s interesting that WWE is handing out the “Cesaro section” signs to fans in the crowd even though Cesaro’s supposed to be a heel. The plan is to create the idea that the fans want Cesaro turned while he stays with Paul Heyman and doesn’t actually turn, all while giving the impression that there is a groundswell on turning him babyface. Basically they are trying to create a Daniel Bryan situation on their own this time. There’s been speculation that this will lead to a Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar match.

Cesaro vs Brock would be dope. SummerSlam is in 4 months. Would be plenty of time to give Cesaro a nice little run with Heyman.

Why can't they just let things develop organically? You'd think they would have learned from the Fandago'ing debacle. :smh::x

ZzZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzZzzz

While Cesaro/Brock will be good, WWE not letting things develop organically is quite annoying. Crowd is already behind Cesaro, they don't need to push things.

Who is the last guy that was intentionally pushed and actually got over? The WWE needs to learn that organic is the way to go. Imagine if for the summer they actually gave fan favorites a real push.

Well, as a faction.. I guess the Shield. Roman Reigns was always the powerhouse of the group and he's legit over.
