why not?No grown man should ever have a roommate.
No grown man should ever have a roommate.
but think about it. You got more privacy, bring chicks over without roommates in your biz, your food not getting ate up, dont have to deal with other roomates.....Nobody waking up scratching they balls and then going into firdge to get something to eat without washing handsEven paying more for a bigger bedroom is less than a one br apartment by at least 130ish ...
so what you are saying is ... its ok in rural and suburban areas?A man in any city with any sort of stability should strive to at least get a studio in order to prevent sharing a living space with someone they're not in a relationship with. Having to deal with another person's bad habits and having to rely on someone else to pay rent is not what a grown man should be doing.

It means he can't make it on his own.

U the same dude who was shedding tears at a homeless dude singing, but yet you're stating what should/shouldn't represent being a "man." Get outta here...
but cities are usually designated differently than other forms of population centers as towns, villages, hamlets, or census designated places...I said "in any city" not "in the city".

or should people be
or should people be you because you didn't distinguish the difference?

You must live in the slums. Try living in decent spot in SF without a roommate I mean technically it's possible, but it's extremely foolish to be spending 2K+ in rent unless you're making close to 6 figures.
No grown man should have a roommate. If i see a grown man have a roommate i wouldnt even take him serious. any grown man should be able to provide for himself . Its not a good lookI love when people make their pseudo-profound statements on NT. No grown man should have a roommate? I'm honestly interested in the logic that goes into that mantra. I live in a house with two roommates right now. Two of us were here from the beginning, and the third guy came in a couple months later. The masters were already claimed so the last guy had to take one of the smaller rooms. I gave him my garage spot to make it even because I have my own bathroom. Everything is split evenly three ways. Compromise a little NT.

1 bedroom $700 uhm where do you stay?
The bros and I have a 3 bedroom. Rent is 900. A 1 bedroom in our area is 700+.
master bedroom pays 520 - has own bathroom, nice closet, patio door, and a LOT of floor space
it would've been less but I was willing to pay up to 500 that so that was the high bid
The other two bedrooms are about the same size.
Bedroom 2 pays 450 - has a walk in closet and connects to hallway bathroom
Bedroom 3 pays 400 - no perks
All utilities and cable and internet are covered in that price. We split the left over money (theres a good chunk) and put it away for a rainy day. We ain't got no worries.
It comes down to living with people you want to and get along with. You know what you can afford. Your roommates SHOULD know what you can afford. If you are already having disagreements, you better get them in check and find common ground on fairness because moving in is just the beginning.
To the people saying it should be dead even... How do you think that? The master bedroom has perks and if it is in contention as to who gets it, money talks BS walks.
Yet you ignored what I wrote right after it...
just because it's possible doesn't mean it's a smart idea

If you live with people who you know well and like roommates are a great thing.
If you think a woman is going to see you as more manly because your by yourself in a studio, you'll be upset when she chooses the bro who brings her to a beautiful 3 or 4 bedroom 2 story house paying exactly what you are + $100-200
