Got accepted into UMD

anything you did academically in high school barely even matters anymore. It's what you do once you're in college, any college, that matters.

same can be said about the relationship between college and your professional experience, and in both cases, performing well in the former unlocks opportunities for the latter (probably obvious to most)

Thanks. There's a couple reasons why but the main reasons were:

1. I commute. Towson is an hour drive and I been driving 1 hour (not including traffic on 695 :x ) for the past 2 years and im just so sick of it.
2. UMD is by far a better school in terms of ranking and status. Much more appealing on a resume.
3. To prove myself and everyone who doubted me from highschool.

Yea 695 is tough and parking was no joke either. Best of luck op.

My high school Physics teacher said I wouldn't survive in college. My middle school algebra teacher embarrased me in front of the whole class by yelling out poor test scores in front of everyone.

A few years later, I'm on the cusp of graduating with two engineering degrees.

Keep grinding fam
