How much does a roustabout make? I've applied to a position out in Odessa for it.

Me and my uncles are pipe welders we might buy and RV and go up there for like 6 months and stack paper

i seriously considered going out there after i got my AA and certified as a welder. heard they were starting welders out at 50/hour, even more if you had all certs in all positions too

but i decided to finish to my BA now as opposed to later. sometimes i regret not going

Where are you guys located? I'm considering becoming a welder and would like some info. Eventually I'd like to become a pipeliner.

I was talking to a guy who now works for PG&E. He was telling me that in the three years he worked on the Keystone pipeline he made over half a million.

Did anything come of your applications?

Sorry for the bump on my own thread  Just wanted to see how everything was for those up there, or if they're still up there. cubanref cubanref

zapatohead408 zapatohead408 I'm taking a long vacation right now and don't know if I'll go back to ND or come back to the states  but welding probably the most lucrative trade out there right now.

36 ounces 36 ounces lots of felons working out there. Not for the larger companies but for smaller ones. They still make really good money tho.

Can a felon get in on this?

As long as you can obtain a cdl u can get a job out here. Been here a whole calendar and I grossed 98k with 2 months worth of training , 3 weeks vacation and 2 weeks out with an illness. So for these next 12 I should be making the same if not more since I won't lose 2 months for training. Also you need to go in there with a plan as well. The money's good but this isn't really a job for a dude with a family or kids, Your gone from home for at least 6 days to a month at a time .

Did you have experience prior before going out there?

Nope first real job I ever had
Its like the wild west out there. You bring some thotties up there and youll flourish

So you're saying if I get a cdl and can go up there for work with no experience I can make good money? They train you and everything?

No I can't say for certain. But I can say if you come to Texas that would be the case. And I know halliburton pays for your cdl and they are hiring right now.

Ok so you're in Texas. You seriously got me considering taking a road trip out there from NY. I got a few grand saved up that can hold me over while I get settled

Apply online first if they call back k or schedule you for an interview you have the job

Was actually just considering something like this recently! Working in Texas would be way more ideal for me than ND haha. So you say haliburton is hiring rrlegend rrlegend

Tons of entry level jobs around the state of Texas from what I'm seeing idk which one to apply for? Did location factor in where you applied to in the entry level jobs? rrlegend rrlegend
