@ thinking Jim & Mitch have a great "plan" when they've offered Carmelo Anthony and Dirk the max in the last week.They have no idea what they're doing. If we get a top 5 pick next summer it won't be because Jim Buss had a masterful tank plan... It'll be because lightning struck, we got lucky and we happened to suck just enough to land another good pick.

We are doomed and to all the dudes in here who want us to tank, what if we dont get a top 5 pick this year? And the Suns get our pick, then what? Man so much for building a team through the draft and signing a star player.. Why would a star play want to come play for the Lakers? What do we have to offer? ****!!

What's also baffling is they were aiming to be competitive with a Kobe, Dirk, and Randle lineup.

There was NO attempts of negotiation. Jim and Mitch literally put the offer on the table.

Even tho Boozer helps team tank, he interferes with the development of Randle and Kelly.
At this point tho, I guess it shouldn't even matter. Mitch is clearly against youth, throwing out crazy money at ******* old *** dudes for no God damn reason but to "put butts in seats" so why bother?

That's just ******* sad. I thought Mitch was a forward thinker, Jim always talked about being analytically inclined, and instead, they are blind leading the blind.
