Speaking of coaches, they've got to be interviewing a dark horse to not have hired Byron Scott already.

With the team we have now, I don't see us winning more than 30 games. A lot of close games but Nick Young will screw up a lot of them.

Ok, realistic hopes/dreams/expectations.

We'll go 3 categories this year. (instead of tank, anti-tank)

We will go after/finish, either

Playoffs

6-14 in the draft (and turn over the pick to the Suns)

This isn't what we WANT right?

This is what we think is going to happen?

You guys really think we'll be top 5 bad with a healthy kobe?

I know we'll be bad but that's hard to believe. Unless his body gives out again of course.

If you're predicting he gets hurt again for the season then I understand.

Would I wanna be top 5 bad instead of 6-14 bad? Of course... But it's hard to see WITHOUT Kobe going down again for the season.

And we're not psychics or doctors so how can we predict such a thing?

Put it this way, there will no longer be a 81 game, 39 minutes a night, 25/5/5 Kobe.

That's done.

You guys with your "Kobe won't let us tank, he'll win _ amount of games by himself, yeahno.

Kobe's going to be lucky if he gets to play many 4th quarters. If he gets 32 minutes a night, I'll be stunned. And if he gets more than 32 minutes a night, then you can damn well be sure that come Christmas, he'll be out a period of time.

He's 36. With more games, minutes, playoff games, minutes, practices, Olympics, training, preseason games, minutes, than anybody in the league outside of maybe KG.

And now he has a severe injury to his leg.

And take a glance at how much (and effective) KG is nowadays.

Ray Allen has made it this far by playing 25 minutes a night the last two seasons, and he's never had an injury like what Kobe dealt with last year.

He's simply going to be another 20 points a game scorer on a crappy lottery team. I'm sure he'll get a game here or there against a terrible opponent once in a while, but nothing like what we used to see. He'll drop a 30 point night once in a while, get everyone excited, and score 11 the next game with dead legs.

It's just the reality of NBA life at this age. It's time to accept it folks. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

Top 5 pick.

It's still a realistic possibility, even if Kobe's healthy, even if they don't intentionally tank. For now, imo

i can see him start off playing 32 minutes or less..then we'll reach November and December and the Lakers are below .500 and he will start to wave off Sweggy Pee to sit his *** on the bench :pimp:

Is our pick from HOU protected at all??

Don't wanna say I'm wishing for an injury to Dwight or Harden but.....there is a chance we could have 2 lottery picks

IIRC the 1st is Top 10 protected. The 2nd, we only get if it's between 51-55.
