Is our pick from HOU protected at all??

Don't wanna say I'm wishing for an injury to Dwight or Harden but.....there is a chance we could have 2 lottery picks :nerd:
Lottery (1-14) protected in 2015 and 2016, top ten protected in 2017 and top five protected in 2018.

Edit:

Correction:
To get the Lakers to take on the final season of Lin’s contract, and the roughly $15 million they will pay him, the Rockets will also send their first round pick next season, unless it falls into the lottery. If they don’t send the pick next season, it will be protected through 10 picks for two seasons. If they still have not sent the pick, it will be protected through five picks for two seasons.

O ok, thx for the info P and CP.
Damn, so Houston really just...

Lost Parsons.
Gave up Lin.
Gave up a 1st round pick.
& didn't get Bosh...

For nothing

That's what I was thinking. Could easily see them falling into the lottery.

As for us. Put me down for Top 5 pick. This roster is worse than last year and the run n gun system actually got us a few cheap wins. Just wanna see Clarkson and Randle improve, that's all I'm looking forward to.

I dunno if they're gonna fall all the way into the lottery, but they could take a few steps back from this season. Depends if Ariza reverts to form, mainly

With the Lakers trying to canvas every scenario into bolstering their team, it appears plausible that Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki represented one of the many free agents they inquired about in the past two weeks.

But a Lakers official disputed ESPN report that indicated the team tried to entice Nowitkzki to leave Dallas for max-level money. The report said that Nowitzki refused to enter negotiations with the Houston Rockets or Lakers. But a Lakers source familiar with the situation said the team would have never offered a max-level offer to Nowitzki considering they planned to set that money aside both to pursue LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony.

we're not getting a top 5 pick, kobe or no kobe

I think we're related

It's not about how good we'll be in regards to the top pick, it's more about how worse the other teams will be throughout the league.

Even if we're bad I don't see us being that bad.....imma reserve a vote until we have a coach and the roster is set.

Definitely not top 5 tho.

And if we do get that top 5 pick its because management didnt listen to me, they don't hear me out here :smh:

Scott will be the coach. Watch.

I don't know how i feel about this season. No coach and a decent big. Not even sure if they're trying to tank or what..

:smh:

Looks like I'll actually only watch 5 full games this season again
Being a transplanted Lakers fan, I can only watch nationally televised games.

So like 5 for me, too. :\

Wonder who Silva is going to have us get sacrificed to on the 25th.

I feel alot of teams got better and we got worst.....hope I'm wrong but I think we can land a top 5 pick... This teams seems horrible on paper....

What's going on in this world, the Los Angeles freakin Lakers can't get a FA and they offer the max to Dirk???? Is this real life?

The draft is our best bet. Look around the league, the vast majority of superstars are with the teams thst drafted them, we need to draft our own and that's gonna take some really hard seasons to follow

I don't know what the Lakers are really thinking with their coach, but they seem unsure about hiring Byron with how long they've drawn this out.

I hope they overthink it and start looking somewhere else.

They didn't. Already disproven.

Dirk signed well before Melo & LeBron, and Lakers only had enough space for a max and maybe $8mil more. Offering Dirk a max would have prevented that
