Because Lance = more Ws.

Besides a deteriorating Kobe and a rookie Randle, we have a team full of role players.
We're guaranteed to make profits and be trash, win/win for everyone.

We had a team full of role players and trash, no Kobe, no Randle, and we couldn't get a top 5 pick. Yet this year it happens, c'mon.

Always liked jordan hill, brings energy consistently but two years 18 mil? :x

Getting younger and securing draft picks is something I can deal with. Fist bump?

I didn't think Mitch had it in him man. I'm so proud rn. This is nuts.

I really, really didn't think this team would tank but they're fully embracing it. What a day.

They were right there. Some bad bounces and they dropped to seventh. Easily could have been at four.

Free agent forward Jordan Hill has agreed to a two-year, $18M deal to return to the Los Angeles Lakers, agent Kevin Bradbury tells Yahoo.
When I watched him he didn't force too many shots, seemed to play within the system/team. There were times he played erratic, but it really wasn't as bad as people make it seem.

He single handedly was able to win games for the Lakers. Sure it didn't help our draft position, but he showed that he's capable of taking over games.

This.

His role in the system was designated chucker and he was solid. When he got the ball it was either to make a pass within the set or to go iso, that is what was asked of him. He was also the guy the ball went to whenever the offense broke down so he would again go iso, usually against the shot clock. I hated young before he came to la but the staff did a great job utilizing him, understanding who he is and allowing him to play to his strengths. He's an iso player and you're absolutely right about his ability to takeover.

With next year being a team option, Hill+lin is about 17 M in expiring isn't it :nerd:

Ain't nobody bitter about nothing. I'm calling it what it is. You don't know **** if you think all of sudden he's gonna better after this deal. Some dudes are what they are. This dude been the same player for years. Dude is like 29 and he's never been consistent, never been dependable. Him and JR Smith are the same player. Dude didn't even have fans until this whole "Swaggy P" stuff started.

U just gonna ignore Jordan Crawford I see but it's cool b/c all THREE are the same player.

I'd rather have a Crawford, Terry spark plug for the bench than a JR. Which is why I clearly stated that I hope homie improves and continues to grind in the gym after this contract. But it is what it is fam, YOU must have an issue with Nick Young personally that i can't speak on, but basketball wise son is a nice pickup for 5mil

I didn't mention Crawford cuz I really don't care about these one dimensional dudes. Nothing personal with Nick Young. But when I have to watch dudes like him on my team for 4 more years Imma speak on it.

So we basically are tanking and putting all our hope in signing an entire roster in 2016.... Because that worked out so well for us this year

Huh?

This team is gonna suck and I'm fine with that.

Just pointing out Mitch is probably thinking differently.
Yes, you're smarter than Mitch, the guy running the most successful NBA franchise. Just stop. He knows we're going to suck. He cares about one thing: $. This team will make a hell of a lot of it and suck. It's a win win for Mitch.

Never said I was smarter than Mitch nor that he's wrong. I just don't agree from my armchair.

"Lakers can stretch Nash but that hurts cap room in 2015 AND 2016 - so may be better to just take the hit this year"

Dangit.

Oh well, I'll still be tuning in for the games.

It's all in the interest of getting back on top. Mitch has said, it may take 2-3 years. (the end of Kobe's deal)

We'll get there, but it's gonna get real ugly for a while. Just hang in there man. *presents fist*

Kobe is confusing me though. Unless he got duped, I can't see him going for this.

What team are you rooting for / watching this season? I think wasting anything significant on this squad is a waste of life. But that Spurs ball movement and Timmy stealing another from Bron for 6 :pimp:

I'm only rooting for LA, and will watch them all year regardless.

That was never in question. 82-0 or 0-82, = same thing, me watching.
