SSLP > any Em album

Went back recently and put this album back in the rotation and I have come to the conclusion that Slim Shady LP is Em's best album. From
Guilty Conscience
Brain Damage
If I Had
97' Bonnie and Clyde
Role Model
Still Don't Give a F***
Bad Meets Evil
Etc.
How on earth can someone say this is not his best album?! Everyone seems to like MMLP way more but I just can't see it.. I'm not even that big of an Em fan but this album is definitely top 15 album ever for me. So NT let's discuss

This song makes me want to do bad things

MMLP is damn close though. Stan, Drug Ballad, The Way I Am, etc...

Came in here to post this. This was one of those songs that I didnt really fully understand at the time becuase I was like 8 or 9 when this album came out, but I listen to this now and it hits me hard.

This was the first rap album that my parents banned me from listening to, straight up took it and told me I couldnt go downstairs to my cousins room when he was playing it. Then proceded to get edited copies of MMLP and The Eminem show :lol: :lol:

SSLP is my favorite Em album. I guess because it was the first album I heard and had that shock value. MMLP had shock value as well but you already expected it. I wouldn't argue with anyone that picked MMLP over SSLP though.
 
How can anyone say it's not his best album? Cause it's not, that would be The Eminem Show. Like people have mentioned before, it's his best balance of beats, pure lyrics, seriousness and minimal wacky Em. SSLP is very good, but outside of Guilty Conscience, Role Model, and My Name Is, SSLP is an album that I hardly go back to. TES gets regular spins every year. Til I Collapse, Drips, When The Music Stops, Business, White America, Square Dance, Say What U Say, Superman, Sing For The Moment....ummmm....please tell me how Eminem Show is not his best album??

MMLP wins for me but if it's a 9.5 SSLP is a 9.4 :lol:
 
MMLP took Em to a whole new level lyrically, as a songwriter.

SSLP is my fave work of his. I never go back to listen to Eminem Show I never got why people like it so much.
 
i view em's albums the same way i view kanyes.  i flip flop between sslp and mmlp as my favorite like i do with college dropout and late registration.  eminem show is great as well i just always preferred the rawer more outlandish slim shady over the more mature em.  infinite is solid as well

As much as I love his first 3 (aftermath) releases, I think this is one of his best songs
