Video Game Dudes: Did Yall Have A Neo-Geo Dude In Your Neighborhood?

i don't think I'm old enough to remember what neo geo is

Lightweight off topic, but I recently dusted off and played with a Dreamcast. Played Marvel vs. Capcom...man that was a very underrated system.

That was a wack response DC, atleast you could have made a remark like how these systems are black so that they teach little white boys how to control something black so that when they grow up they control black peoples in their adulthood.

It's clearly there brah.
 (Legit Laugh)

what about that 32X add-on..... now that I think about genesis and dreamcast were really the only good systems sega had...when I look back Nintendo really was the only great console maker. everyone else kinda hit and missed, mostly missing.

Never had one and never knew anyone who had one.

Only saw it in a magazine. I did have a Sega CD though :pimp:

I picked up an aes neo geo gold system back when it came out with world heroes and magician lord. Still have it to this day. My aes metal slug games are worth some good bread

ahh... the mystical Neo Geo. We always heard of the Neo Geo, but never knew anyone who owned one... That is until that one nerdy dude at school said his brother owned one. It was always someone's cousin or brother who lived far away who owned a Neo Geo. That system was mystical to us. After the 16 bit systems the internet era kinda ruined the magic...

Till this day I never met anyone in the hood who had one...

Seen one at a game shop for a grand. That was a lot of money back the word to gas being a buck a gallon

Was the Neo Geo really all that? I've never heard of it but just did some research and it came out AFTER the original NES, which was fire. I had:

Sega Saturn, NES, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Gear, Game Boy Color/Advance, Nintendo 64, Game Cube, PS1/2/3, XBox 1/2/3, PSP, Wii

Probably forgot some

:smokin

EDIT: Dreamcast. Way ahead of its time.

Naw, never seen someone have it in their house as a kid.

However, I did buy one of those Neo Geo X Gold handheld retros that plugs into a case (came out not too long ago)

this dude that lived behind the government housing of mine had the machine with metal slug, samurai showdown some other game in it.

he lived with his mom and his mom would sell candy to all the kids and whoever around the neighborhood.

they also sold fireworks and im pretty sure drugs too.

Seriously, what the hell was SNK thinking trying to sell a system for $700??

Neo Geo pocket was tough though. Just didn't have the games for it but the graphics were sick. Also took to many batteries.
