Kids react to walkmans VOL. I'm feeling old now

Cmon Ricky only 2 of those was actual hating

No. Most of that was hating. They're children...who cares?

This is a cool nostalgia type thread but dudes are legit like

"omg what has the world come to?!" because kids don't know

about stuff they never had use for and was obsolete by the time

they could use it. I had All Eyez on Me and Bow Wow 1st album

on cassette then CDs after that and my good ol' Dreamcast. those

were fun times.....but that was MY childhood. why would i care that

children I'm more than 10 years older than don't know about that stuff?

and also, like i said...i had tapes and CDs and of course now have an iPhone.

if I EVER had to go back to rewinding my damn music to find one song i'd break

the ******* device. same with VHS. dudes on here always do this though.

y'all are infatuated w/ being old. idc what you say this doesn't make me feel OLD.

it just makes me feel like lots of things have changed. alas that's just me though.

can't expect everyone to feel the same.......it's still annoying though.

now that i said all that above....these kids were incredibly annoying.

and what was up w/ the whole "you need headphones" thing. MP3

players w/ built in speakers is recent and....who listens to them w/out

headphones anyway? i hate videos like this for those 2 reasons. kids

have not yet learned that trying to hard is annoying so they go the extra

mile to make points and be extra. reason 2 being that the people who put

these things together always make some part of it irrational to get the

desired response i.e. not giving them headphones from the jump in order

to make it seem like a dated concept.

When these kids are our age, they'll watch a video of kids reacting to iPods & iPads on some, "Ya'll had to move your thumbs? You mean to tell me ya'll devices didn't predict the music you wanted based on brainwaves picked up by your earphones?".

That would be pretty dope, though, "Your mood indicates that you want to listen to Dipset? Confirm?".

why cant we.... you know what vinyl and records are although you didnt grow up in a time that it was prevelant and really the only music medium...

Staying up ALL night to record ONLY the hottest songs on the radio just to shut the cassette game down. :pimp:

Late 80's/early 90's babies grew up in an interesting time, 5 years later I bought an ipod nano at school.
Them good ole days 89 what up

that's because my parents wanted me to know. my dad showed me his records and his

player. i'm grateful for that and will do that w/ my children, BUT if another parent doesn't

do that w/ their child i can't be mad. my gripe is more so that these kids are acting as if

they were unaware that the world existed before they were born and that's annoying. but

some dudes in here legitimately CARE that these children don't know. that's all i was

saying/asking: why do y'all care? also i had only watched 2 minutes when i wrote that

and finished watching when i was done typing so i'm kinda on y'all side now. these

kids are annoying and pretentious like some teenaged hipsters. i know for a fact i wasn't

like that as a kid nor were my friends/classmates. that **** is annoying as ****

^Definitely agree with that, especially the part about acting like nothing existed before your very time period. I never had a record player and vinyls, but I definitely know how to use one  (bought my dad an original player for his records a couple Father's Days ago)

that kinda shows the state of many of these young parents... they rather choose to be their kids friends and peers rather then parent ie... trying to keep up with whats current (which isnt a bad thing) and not exposing them to their past... plus alot of ppl are having kids so young that many of them are still rather young themselves so they werent really that exposed to many older things either.

Three pages of dudes reading way to deep in this and actually believing their generation was different.

i remember when i made the jump from a regular cd player to a non-skip one
had me like :wow:
went from having to sit the player on a solid surface because any little movement would mess it up to shaking it just to see if it would skip

i remember finally being able to cop this sick sony discman that cost me like $100+ back then.. joint had me like :smokin
until my brother took it and lost it...
i swear i never forgave him for that

cd > cassette though
just being to skip to the next song was HUGE

BRUH i was the MIXTAPE KING

had slow jam tapes ,footwork(chicago ish) tapes, juke tapes galore

oh the memories

will watxh the vid later

yall kids dont know the struggle until  your cassette player eats up your dr.dre chronic tape.

i was around 10 and i would have to open the cassette cut out the tangled part and splice the tape back together.

interesting enough that really helped me later in life when i was a projectionist splicing film reels together.

I remember having a walkman, then buying a discman but always wanting a mini disc player.
And these kids will never know the horrors of a dial up connection :smh:
Times have changed...........
At least we didnt have to bother with vinyl.

I cant imagine what people did 50 years ago for entertainment. All they had was a ball, radio, bikes........
Would be a boring life IMO.

Man...i was born in 1982...I saw the death of vinyl, rise and fall of tapes, CD's. The mini disk always seemed cool but I knew I could never afford one.

Vid is funny to me. I can't blame the kids. That's like asking me when i was 7 years old about 8 track tapes...I may have seen one or two...but I didn't know a thing about them.

This might be one of the dumbest **** I've ever heard.

Let me take it even further:

If you don't know what that tiny red car does, then you'd have no idea what I just posted if there was no illustration

I used to turn the handle so fast it ripped off so many tapes near the end of the roll LOL
