:smh: @ there being a 14 yo gunman....

Cops nab teen suspect in Brooklyn Foot Locker shooting at Nike 'Yeezy' launch
The 14-year-old gunman allegedly shot Isaiah Martinez, 15, in the left foot at 6 a.m. Saturday after he tried to cut in line for the release of the Kanye West-designed sneakers at the Bushwick store.

Just gotta hope that nothing like this happens if the Macklemore Jordans drop.

the kid is stupid and inconsiderate for cutting the line.   probably deserved to get hands put on him by someone he cut.

but to shoot him is od and unnecessary.  nike and jb really got people by the balls like that?   shooting someone because they cut you in line over a pair of sneakers and going to jail for a long time is just so dumb,  especially in a gun strict state like new york

You said it. What's the end game to all of this? I guess as long as Nike's pockets stay fat, they really don't care.

He most likely tried to cut in front of a bunch of hood dudes, since that's all that wear foams still.

At some point Nike needs to be held responsible. They know what they're doing, at least footlocker(or any other store)

Naw. You can't point fingers at anyone for this but the kid who cut and the kid who shot him.

And some point you have to hold these idiots responsible for their own stupid decisions.

They've been holding people responsible, this kid got locked up, the dude that stole 20K has been held responsible, the kids that were shooting back in 1995 were held responsible...one constant, big corporation never foot the bill for the conditions they create. Im jus fed up with the way companies create these conditions, watch the destruction and walk away with no consequence. .

This is why I just cop kicks online. Dudes go way too hard for some cheap plastic or cheap leather stuck together with glue.

why should nike be responsible because people act like savages when they don't get something they want?

how is it nikes fault that a store gets a certain quantity of sneakers,  said store sells that certain quantity, and those who weren't able to get a pair of shoes, rather then act like civilized people, decide to act like uncivilized idiots with no regards for the law and cause a scene because they can't get a material item?

you don't see this nonsense at apple releases, video game releases,  it's not nikes fault grown adults and in some cases teenagers don't know how to act.

rather then blame nike, i rather see the cops weed the main troublemakers out, hit them with some disturbing the peace or mayhem charges and send the adults who don't know how to act to jail and the problem is solved.

your not always going to get what you want in life, treat it as a life lesson and take the L rather then throw a tantrum over a material item.

nike is a business that's trying to make money,  it's not their problem or fault that people act like savages at sneaker releases.

Went to Burger King the other day and saw these kids who has to be 13 years old and one of them was showing off his gun to his boys. Smh

hate line cutters, but shooting them is way too much

im not losing my life over macklemore jordans or consolation yeezy's

Because Nike, apple, etc. create a situation where that is dangerous. They know when they only release x amount is iPhones in x area, people will get injured. No different than a stadium not having proper security. It's foreseeable. I don't think it's good that companies, schools, concerts etc. can create situation to entice folks into emotional responses. I'm not a fan. Weak argument, but people get harmed during these releases.
