At what tempature do you turn on the air conditioner?

Yeah but on the freeways windows down outweigh the ac on gas use.
This is true

It really depends on the vehicles. 4cyls use a much greater percentage of the engines power to run the a/c than larger engines.

The only study Ive seen on this was sponsored by GM and I believe both of the vehicles they used were v8s.

Modern vehicles are also more aerodynamic even with the windows down, while many older cars were designed specifically to generate a wind tunnel inside the car while at speed.

at home? anything higher than 76 and the a/c is ON. I live in Corona, CA btw... we starting to get into "that" season.

in the car? anytime the car's been sitting under the sun. may turn it on to cool down, then turn off... but if it's hot, it's automatic.

I don't run the AC until the dead middle of summer here in Atlanta. spring? window fan.... shirt off....

I gladly pay the power bill summertime here. Heat is unbearable.

Y'all must be rich
A/C shoots up the electric bill
A/C in the car just wastes mad gas

Open a window, you'll be alright
All y'all are spoiled

Depends on the car though. That's not the case on many newer cars.

Let me aware you of a place called Texas.

Opening the window just lets more heat in.

In the car...AC comes on when its 90+ degrees out.

In the house...when it starts to be hotter inside than outside.

This Memphis heat is no joke.
