I think it's more the appreciation that nicki gets even though like someone said she seems to cater more to white america with the long blond hair she used to do and the enhanced features while Lupita is more natural that makes some blacks say we hate ourselves.

she's not even top 20 in mine, if she didnt win the academy award she would just be another girl, if any of the top 10 or 15 did not win anything or become a celebrity they would consistently be the most beautiful woman in the room, modeling, etc

unbelievable, it's not only me by the way, go on any other forum with this topic, overall the consensus is that she is not the most beautiful woman and it was given to her through her publicist/ academy win

Lupita's face is way more symmetrical.

Plus she has much "brighter" features than Nicki.

For example, look at Nicki's eyes and look at Lupita's eyes.

Lupita's eyes are way more aesthetically appeasing.

Nicki's body is better shaped than Lupita's, but it's all plastic and artificial materials so that invalidates the whole body argument to me.

If you look at the mouth/lips/teeth, Lupita's got the better teeth, but Nicki's got nice lips.

Nose and cheekbones, Lupita's superiority in this area is not even debatable.

When i compare their smiles, there is no question that Lupita has a better smile.


How do you guys think the two compare, if you feel like Nicki is the prettier one?

All i really wanted to say.... I do think she's beautiful... i don't think she looks as good as people make her out to be, but the fact still stands that because of this some young darkskin girl somewhere isn't going to grow up hating her complexion and trying to erase her black features

your not crazy that's just your preference, and while i do find that some people have been programmed to what should be "Considered pretty" i also take a grain of salt to this because sometimes the girl really just doesn't do it for me regardless of race or color.
 
I just hope that black women get the picture that they don't need to wear hair hats to be considered beautiful. I personally never follow thses magazine's list.

The point I was trying to make is that our sexual preferences are largely out of our control. There are many underlying factors that lead to who we prefer and why.

You're just tryna chalk it up to "They like her because she's lighter. Let's love our darkskin sisters!" when there's far more to it than that. You believe Lupita's eyes are more aesthetically appealing but you can't tell my why other than "they're brighter". You believe that she has a better nose and cheekbones but that's all opinion based and born from something you have zero control over. I can't understand how a gay man could love another man more than a soft shapely woman with a fat *** and good credit but he can and does and I'm not gonna ask him why because I know he truly has no real control over it. Stop baiting.

when I say "bright eyes" I'm referring to the literal brightness of the whites of her eyes, along with how wide her eyes are and the soft expression her face gives that Nicki is incapable of giving.

If we're talking solely about faces, Lupita's cute. Havent read every page, so not sure why Nicki's name has been brought up, but I think she looks cuter. Why? She has that raunchy look :smokin

Wow. Can't tell you how much I disagree with this statement. I can look at this woman, look at her features and see how people would find her beautiful. I can't do that with Paltrow. She is as average as average can be.
