On a 1-10 scale, 10 being the worst, moving is a 38.

Sure, there's the excitement of going to a new place...but everything that goes on in-between absolutely sucks. The process of packing, transferring bills, cancelling services, etc. is awful. Can I get an amen?

Moving blows...

It makes you want to sell all your shoes.

It makes you realize how much useless junk you have.

It makes you want to toss everything you labeled "collectible", in the trash.

If you have Ikea furniture, it all falls apart as soon as you move it from the comfort of the crevice it's been sitting on the past 1-2 years :smile:lol... )

Packing... holy hell I need more boxes, why do I have so many t-shirts!!! (All questions are rhetorical in this process)

A freaking Men...

This is actually what I love about moving. Getting rid of **** I have lying around that I damn well do not need.

Said I'd save a few dollars by handling the move on my own. I'm actually glad I did do it on my own...now I know I'll never do it again  **** was stressful beyond belief. Storage space I'm renting is filled from floor to ceiling. Got rid of a lot of furniture on CL, but once I got close to the settlement date of my old house, it became a liquidation sale

*Got rid of a small sectional....a couple came out from College Park to pick it up. Had about 14 bottles of wine (unopened) that I just gave to the couple (not a wine drinker unless it's Sangria). After they left, I realize that they were both probably college freshmen who just hit it big

Everytime me or my girl would have get togethers, someone would bring over a bottle. Just collected over the years

I had a good bar, but just the wine was pretty much untouched.

Read somewhere a while ago saying that moving was the 2nd biggest stressor in life behind divorce. It ain't that bad. I usually have food and drank ready for whoever comes through to help..

I hate moving

I think it's the stigma I have attached to it from my earlier years in life, usually not good...

Getting a bad hair cut from the barber shop is a 99. You actually see the chaos unfold but you don't want to speak up because you're hoping the barber would work some kind of magic and at the end you're just out of 20 bucks and left with disappointment. Oh yeah don't forget the tip. Wait, what was this thread about?

Among my friends, when someone moves he buys the others a pizza for helping. It helps soften the pain of moving a little bit

Not moving out my pops crib on my reverse Ninjahood steez until it's nothing to have someone just do everything for me.

Yeah it sucks. Didn't plan on moving anytime soon but landlord hit me with the word "research" after I said I'd be interested in signing a new lease. I know I'm bout to get murked, may as well see what's out there.

If you help anyone move and they don't have a case of beer ready, you need to re-evaluate that friendship.

i'd say a 75. and then when you can't find which box you put something in (like the bolts/screws for your headboard/footboard) it's even worse.

**** moving. I moved into my house over a year ago and I still have stuff in storage lol.

Gave away 20+ kicks because I have too many (want them all back :smh: )

The worse part was my furniture for my man cave. I have a 3 piece la-z-boy sleeper set. Two chairs weigh 300lb each and the sofa is 400lb. Carrying those up stairs with my boy was crazy.

If I every sell the house it's included

All stuff can fit in both my cars easy moves :pimp: like someone said earlier in the post my mother is a hoarded I hated it growing up. Could you imagine having girls over smh....

Im thinking about moving back to Miami from massacshusetts in aug/sep. Just thinking about that 20+ hr drive got me like :smh:

The most frustrating thing is when you are moving the heavy ****, and there are boxes and a whole bunch of little **** in the way

Amen

What about moving somebody...this **** ain't even mines so why am I here?

My girl is buying a house, and the moving process is so insane.

1-10 I'd give it a EASY 4.

It ain't nowhere near that hard. It gets annoying if you move a lot I would imagine but it ain't hard. I pack light. What's not needed goes straight to the dump.

Your doin it wrong my nt brethren.. You need that company relocation package where they pack ALL your **** and move it fo free!!

Moving is actually a top 3 stress inducer that almost everyone experiences.
