Is FTL on drugs? SRS

Ive never ordered from FTL before. I tried a few months ago for a pair of Kobe 8's and they wouldnt ship my items without verifying? what ever that means. i exchanged emails with them and they eventually canceled my order and a few days later sent me a $15 GC for some reason.

fast forward to now, i decide to buy some Nike shirts. They are giving me the same issue. UNshipping- waiting on approbal. I contact them and they say, oh we do this with all orders. YEAA OK.

Now someone from footlocker contacts me, telling me the same thing. They do it all the time and they told me to wanna verify my billing address, name, phone number, and BANK ACCOUNT... WHAT?

what kind of crap is this? BTW its a real email from footlocker. directly asking me for my bank account and bank phone number.

Has anyone heard of this? BTW im using a CREDIT CARD to pay for the items, not paypal, not a bank issued debit card.

THIS IS THE WORST SITE EVER! Never in my life have i heard of someone being asked for bank information to verify a $100 order

I've had various websites call to verify my name as well as shipping and billing addresses, but never a bank account. 

That's shady as can be.

FTL and Eastbay have sent me emails to call in and verify info. It happens if your billing and shipping addresses are different. They basically want to know why it's going to a different address and verification.

In this case, if I were you I would call and tell them the situation that somebody is asking for all this extra info via email claiming to be FTL or whatever.

They do this all the time so they can verify your information. I think they call if you're using credit to see if its really you using it. 

If they really asked for a Bank account info i would just hang up.
