I've worn the VI and the VII and I think they VII's are leaps & bounds more comfortable than the VI's.  But if anyone would know, it's KD.

No disrespect intended to you, but you aren't playing ball at the same level as KD.  So for you to say its leaps and bounds more comfortable, that could be true for us regular dudes, but not for the reigning MVP

VI and the VII are both extremely comfortable in their own ways. the firmness is def great on the 6 and the softer ride is great on the 7

When reached for comment, Nike spokesperson Brian Strong explained, "We are excited to see Kevin Durant back in competition. KD will be wearing orthotic inserts as he returns from surgery on his right foot. The existing KD 6 shoe design is currently the best solution to accommodate the orthotic. The Nike design team is perfecting the KD7 to accommodate KD’s orthotic."

With the strap on the VII plus adding in the orthotics, I can imagine it would be very snug and uncomfortable.. Makes sense to me
