It just doesn't make sense. I'd ask you what about all red shoes in your opinion makes them ghetto?

A ghetto is a place that's recognized as a urban area usually associated with African Americans. None of the "ghettos" I've been too has all red shoes been the norm or seen at a higher rate then anywhere else. So explain please.
Well thank you for atleast explaining your interpretation of why it wouldn't make sense. It is a shame, that one cannot share an opinion these days without being questioned or "called out" on it. It looks as if people are trying to bait me into an argument of sorts, when in fact there is nothing to argue about. I simply stated my opinion. Its also interesting that you would bring race into the equation. Once again...that seems to be a crutch that people quickly fall back upon when trying to make a point, or in this case... try to paint the picture of that being my point of view. It's old and tiresome.

It is quite obvious to me, that some of us must have differing thoughts, on what the word "ghetto" means.
???

the right to share your opinion also include the right for others to dicuss it with you. it's a two way street.

no one was baiting you..you were baiting people with your please explain...and once they did, you're attacking them for it.

he explanation is pretty valid and reasonable.. how is the color red ghetto? which you failed to address. not saying you have to.

Just to note I personally wasn't offended by the ghetto remark or want to debate race. I just didn't get the correlation.

I understand its a 2 way street. That's why we are having the conversation, I don't recall anywhere in any of my replies, stating anything otherwise.

Interestingly enough..I haven't "attacked" anyone. Reading back through all posts...I can't see anything that could be misconstrued as "attacking" anyone.  Looks like you are fabricating something that doesn't exist.

I did thank him for his explanation being "reasonable" and "valid" and said that I appreciated his response.

You both explained your reasoning and your logic. Let's just talk about the shoes, not semantics or meaning of colorways.

Someone made a thread about ghetto colorways (lime green, orange, pink, black) like some weeks ago :smh:

It's funny how this hobby 20 years ago was most popular and made cool by kids out of urban areas. Back then the most popular CWs consisted of all black, blk/red blk/blue ect. Basic colors. That's where the term "hood classic" comes from.

It's not until now with the explosion of popularity that we get these wild CWs at such a high rate. This explosion coincides with the sneaker culture being embraced by all colors of people now more than ever.

An yet the loud CWs are being labeled and associated with ghetto? Ha ha ha this world we live in. Smh

Normally I love being the only one on the court with a kick/color way but I'm kind of hoping the 35K blows up so there will be some clothes and gear in the bright mango. Having the shoes for a couple of weeks I'm loving it.

I finally saw 35Ks in person today - not awful by any means, just not for me.  I'll go for the Global Games for sure, and look at the CBS more closely.

Good luck to those looking to cop in the morning!
