And people act like UA is just some run of the mill start up company that is fishing for business. We're talking about a global 18 year old athletic company worth billions of dollars...a top 5 sportswear company in America with a growing market in Asia and Europe.

No company is going in blind to a deal like this and expecting to not come out stronger and with an advantage. Once again you're also talking about a company with major links to the Washington Wizards and the Ravens, and to think that Leonsis doesn't have a role in this would be stupid.
No one thinks UA is jsut a run of the mill start up company, but they're nothing compared to Nike. In terms of total revenue, net worth, market dominance, etc, Nike is superior in every facet.

Also, I think the whole "I'm coming home" Wizards angle is almost as dumb as people trying to sell the "I'm Coming Home" angle of Lebron. Lebron signed with the Cavaliers because of their talent, not because of some essay he wrote. If KD signs with UA, it'll be because of the big bucks (or lack thereof from Nike), not some contrived Maryland point of view.

now y'all are scaring me into thinking i need to order my KD7 iD's ASAP.

Didn't know UA did this . Guess they had to since the GSW have those colors.

Matt Powell thinks UA is screwing themselves over by offering Kevin Durant so much. He's worth a lot, but not worth $32.5 million a year + equity in the company. Nike will just sit back and watch UA spiraling down from overpaying him.

So if KD signs with UA i can kiss all dreams of owning a pair of ASG 4 good bye huh. |I

Hopefully He does sign back with nike.

I wonder if the "Keeping his shoe under $100.00" has anything to do with him considering leaving.

I'm pretty sure 325 million + part ownership of UA is what would make him leave.

Zero. If someone offers you that much money to wear a product, what would you do? Having a cheap shoe was admirable but unrealistic long term. Should have signed with Starbury if that was his goal.

^^^whoa..Flashback!  I spent countless trips to the stores hunting the Starbury color I wanted!

I think i did finally get them and they were the worst balln sneakers I ever had

I'll say one thing, if kd does leave, I wouldn't be surprised if lebron did too. That's max NBA contract money, and lbj is all about cashing in at this point in his career. Li-Ning or some other Chinese brand would pay him serious cash.

lebron has too many chips on his shoulders to leave nike

how much does lebron get paid a year by nike? no way will nike let lebron leave for another brand ever, they'll give in and pay him.

kd leaves, kobe retires, they need lebron to carry their basketball line.
