Under armour offer is 325 million for 10 years with equity in the company let me go order my 35k now. All nike has to do is offer a few more years to even it out.

Lebron is getting $20. There's no way they give KD $30+. If the deal is firm and true, he is as good as gone. Remember KD said he is sick of being #2.

Been reading the commentary for days thought id throw my 2¢ in. I think if Nike were backed into a corner like they were already this year with Kanye, adidas' $1.3 billion deal to take Manchester United away, and letting Arsenal go as well after 20 years I think they would say screw it and "let" KD go to UA. However since they freed up about $70 mil this year they would have enough money to keep KD. But to make KD the highest paid athlete over Lebron, Tiger, Rory, Kobe, CR7, Serena, Fed, Nadal, to even out this offer to UA...it's not looking good at all.

Would hate to see him go. For sure a fan of his line. KD7s are the best in my opinion as well. So much potential. If he does leave, ill snag up some KDs on clearance or something lol. Id love a pair of DMV V's for the low

I don't think there's a chance KD stays with Nike, not with the kind of money UA is throwing at him. I'm honestly surprised he hasn't already signed with Under Armour. Must just be working out the details.

Durant doesn't seem like the kind of guy to care about appearances. As long as the shoe doesn't fall apart while working out or in a game.

Everyone is hyper focused on the shoes (which is a big deal and I get, this is a shoe forum), but I'm excited for all the apparel. UA has the best apparel out there, hands down.

I don't agree

And what could they do that Nike isn't doing?

I have yet to see UA brand shirts that don't just have a UA on them.

I have a pair UA Spawn's and they're great shoes to ball in.  Aesthetically nothing special, but solid basketball shoes.

Those of you that think UA is going down because they are offering so much money are trippin. This is exactly what they need to make them a serious contender to Adidas and Nike.

Steph Curry is like the appetizer, and KD will be the main course plus dessert.

No one thinks UA is jsut a run of the mill start up company, but they're nothing compared to Nike. In terms of total revenue, net worth, market dominance, etc, Nike is superior in every facet.

Also, I think the whole "I'm coming home" Wizards angle is almost as dumb as people trying to sell the "I'm Coming Home" angle of Lebron. Lebron signed with the Cavaliers because of their talent, not because of some essay he wrote. If KD signs with UA, it'll be because of the big bucks (or lack thereof from Nike), not some contrived Maryland point of view.
That's what I'm saying though. The money is what's going to bring him to Washington if he ultimately decides on leaving OKC. But it would be ignorant to think that Leonsis isn't involved somewhere/somehow in the background of these negotiations, because while UA isn't broke, 32 million dollars is a lot of money to give to an athlete either way you look at it.

A serious contender to Adidas, maybe, Nike, nope.

Until a couple of years ago when they started making better looking kicks, KD didn't even generate much revenue for Nike.

One player isn't carrying a brand unless it's Michael Jordan.

Agreed. But it would at least create some nice competition between 1,2 and 3. And outside of LeBron, KD is a nice catch.

That's fine. IMO UA has better apparel that's often less expensive. It's not like I don't have Nike apparel, I do. Just think UAs is better.

But he would be #1 at a #3 or #4 company
I think with Durant and Curry, UA has the potential to slot in at the #2 spot in bball. It's no secret that Adidas is a futbol company. That's their bread and butter. They have done a good job with Rose and others, and I see kids rocking Adidas retro bball shoes all the time. I had a pair of Detlef Schrempfs back in the day myself.

For UA this is all about stealing market shares from those 2 and steadily climbing up that latter. Remember they are only 18 years old. So they are still growing.

Rather KD stays with Nike or goes to UA we all have to admire this nice daily increasing rumor mill we have.

1. UA "could"offer KD "up to" 30 million goes to UA "is" offering KD 30 million
2. UA is prepared to offer KD up to 30 million goes to UA has offered KD a 10 year contract that "could" reach up to $325 million, to UA "has" offered a 10 year $325 million contract to KD.
3. So all of our math geniuses out there say hey if KD will make $325 million a year and 30 million times 10 years doesn't equal $325 mil THEN KD must be getting $32.5 million a year :wow: in order to support the new $325 million 10 year rumor. So now he's making $32.5 million a year, from the possible $30 million.

All these million dollar jumps when nothing new has been heard from UA, KD, or Nike since the beginning of the week? I'm not saying KD is staying or leaving but some of you all up here are taking everything you read on Twitter, Sports and Sneaker blogs and running with it like it's solid facts without an actual word coming from the real decision makers.

Kevin Durant is close to signing a deal with Under Armour.

Durant's deal is reported to be in the $325 million range over 10 years and would also include equity in the company.

They didn't push him until the 5 according to Matt Powell. No KDs were in my city until the 5s . As soon as they made more of his shoes the revenue skyrocketed.

Of course they would have to give Lebron a raise even though he didn't even wear his own shoe. It would be dumb of Nike to let KD go considering they have nobody else right now andKobe has 2 more years and George just had a gruesome injury. I like Kyrie and harden but I don't think they could take over the number 2 and 3 spot in a couple of years when Kobe retires.

It is all speculation at this point. Nothing has been confirmed. Think the numbers are factual, but there is no deal yet. Even being close to a deal is not the same as KD Signs with UA. Problem is we live in a world where we want instant headlines and that's what twitter is, it can lead to a lot of misinformation.

If those figures are accurate though, I just don't see how KD wouldn't sign with UA. Hold up could be he is letting Nike respond out of respect or a number of other factors, it's all speculation right now.

Got shipping confirmation on SNS Global Games. Will probably get them in hand before my Foot Locker order

I wasn't saying Nike would continue to promote KD if he leaves. Was just wondering if any future UA shoes would have the same KD logo on them, or if UA would have to come up with a new one if the current logo is property of Nike.
