No, this is supposed to be a KD takedown signature, a cheaper one than the kd 7

How much is it? I'm guessing $120, like the Kobe Venomenons. If that's true, I'd rather just pay the extra $30 for actual KDs.

Those are the kd Trey 5s. They've been out for a couple years now. Asia exclusive. Basically as stated above they are just the "cheaper" sig model. Kd trey5 1s are $95 + shipping on eBay and the 2s are $110 + shipping.

Sorry to be dense but are you referring to the KD VII's or the KD Trey 5's referred to above?  I picked up the CBTS and the traction seemed alright but I haven't had a chance to ball in them yet.  The KD VI's had the worst traction of any sneaker I've balled in since I started playing 25 years ago.

I'm surprised here.  These actually have pretty solid traction from my experience.

Have you tried roughing them up a bit on asphalt or concrete first?  That usually takes the slick layer of the soles that a lot of shoes come with brand new.  I've found this to work pretty well

They certainly don't need him, but he will still be a profitable signature athlete for them at that price. His brand is growing both domestically and internationally and I'm my opinion he still hasn't reached his full potential in the league. If I remember correctly the VI's or his sales total for last year was somewhere in the ballpark of 175 million on shoes alone. Nike can certainly afford him as a multibillion dollar corporation and he's a pretty widely respected and loved player for his humbleness character and overall personality. To me it seems like a no brainer to offer him 275 over 10 years as the leagues best scorer.

Just ordered the CBTS from NDC for $135 because I called them and asked for a code because I told them to look at what I spent in the past month or two on KD VII's. I haven't spent anything too crazy and the code was only for 10% but I'd rather order from NDC than anywhere else.

have the 6 & 7... I believe the 6 were better in the traction dept. love both models tho
